Hi Colin, some lovely gifts there, the sign your daughter got you was excellent especially as she got it herself! Such a generous sister too, I’m not sure my sister knows I’m building a model railway, lol! (She does really🤭). The ship looked amazing and gives us a true comparison of it size against the railway. Hi Collin. Happy new year to you buddy. Nice bit of weathering on the shunter. Alaska loco looks good going round the layout as does the shunter with the hoppers. Not sure of the tube stock in the middle, I was a driver on the 62 stock for 14 years. Did notice the ship hasn't set sail yet.😁 Nice presents Collin. Have a great new year.🍾🍾 Pete.

Hi Pete must say the weathering on the shunter came like that by TMC, I haven't tried weathering yet on locos did do a wagon at first it was ok till I put a lacquer on it and I sprayed it to close so it ran but it's not to bad now it's dry. I do love the American stock they look and sound great. the ship still has work to be done on it and I have to build another shed for it to be dock in it's final place. Loads to be done before I get to that part of the layout project. The underground train in n gauge is I believe very rare so I just had to get it, it wasn't made by a train company for running I believe it was made as a static model. Hi Colin! What a good sister you have! I wish my 03 ran as nicely as yours - mine goes like a greyhound! It would definitely give that American Kato train a run for its money in a race! Lol! Loved how huge the container ship looked in comparison to the trains! Those cardboard container kits look like they'll be perfect for the interior of the container pile! Hi Ian the 03 is a little cracker. What decoder did you put in your 03. I do love the size of the ship I've still got some work to finish it but there no rush. it's going on the English part. Sorry I was having my first special Christmas can't say anymore. So I miss all this tagging so thank you for thinking of me. All the best for future year. Colin

@@collinsngauge5493 - Hi Colin! The 03 was only the second DCC loco I obtained, so I got The Model Centre to fit the decoder for me when I purchased it! I've not been brave enough to go inside it yet, as like you say, there are plenty of tiny details that are difficult to see and will easily break off! I like Zimo decoders personally, but what decoder would you recommend for it? Actually, the weird thing is that when I use my NCE Powercab to control it, it seems a lot less "jumpy" than when I use the DR5000! No worries about the tagging, it was only a bit of fun over Christmas! Cheers, Ian.

@@iansngauge Hi i use a Bachmann 36-571 micro decoder which does have breaking system and are made by Zimo and for me with itrains they have railcom. And also that decoder hasn't had it's cv's altered so it's straight out of the box. Colin

@@iansngauge The one you have in the train do a factory reset, I have work out that sometimes there not bran new as in someone had it and it's not wright for a particular loco and they've altered the cv's not done a reset, sent it back then they resell it. And as you may know a make decoder doesn't work the same in every loco. which is a real problem when you just start out when some people and book's say any decoder will work, well for me that bull sh..., but if it one of those Bachmann decoder try it first. And you can ask the decoder who make it is first before opening the loco. But you said thinking about it, it came fitted? so it may not be the wright one. I like these chats. Colin

Hi Paul well it's all metal body it has kato bogies and on the roof it has a message on to do with the 2012 Olympics. If you like I'll give it a run and put it on a video for you to see. You may be interested in a Zeppelin train with a moving propeller and I have a greyhound train made out of there buses that has sound. Thank you for taking interest. Colin

Hi Allan hope you had a great Christmas, I am hoping it will be interesting to all gauge modellers I've seen a layout in a American home which is being built in 4 or 5 rooms whichhas court my eye but it's just got American stock, so I hope running 4 different countries and 4 different seasons will be interesting . Because I love watching you and Paul Sheedy who run European trains as well as English and the liverys that European have is ace and better than ours. All the best for the new year. Colin
