Another entertaining look into ‘Shrimper life’. Thanks very much indeed!

My wife is not enthusiastic as I am about sailing. As soon as you explained about your wife catching a train and staying in a B&B or hotel I called her over to watch and show her what is possible to do. I have a small trailer sailer, she's not keen on sleeping in. So thanks for sharing,

I really enjoy your videos and recently purchased a Mk1 Shrimper 19. Your explanations of your problems and projects are greatly appreciated. I feel increasingly more confident after every video you post.

Thanks for posting this! We (my oldest son, his teammates and myself) were there in 2018 during the UK Laser Nationals. I remember all the spots, all the views you filmed. And, a police escort for a destroyer coming in. The lads decided that tacking their lasers a few hundred meters in front of a destroyer was a good plan. Not so... The fuel station had an upgrade since 2018! Then, the approach was daunting: rusty ends were sticking out at the height of the RIB's inflated tubes... The RIB driver had to navigate/steer carefully when approaching the fuel station.

I used to take my eldest there when he was in optimists, spent many a windy winter night at the Mountbatten centre.

@@Morningvicar 2018 was a hot summer. No rain. In fact, the parking across the street opposite the Mountbatten Centre looked and felt like a dusty, sandy South European parking at that time, when we unloaded the trailer with the Lasers. Anyway, I love your videos and keep posting, please!

Yesterday I took a Laser out for the first time in about 45 years. In the 1970's I purchased one of the first Lasers with paper route money. Last year I found a 1974 Laser locally and refurbished it. It all came back to me immediately yesterday when I took it out. Like riding a bike.

@@saabtech3510 Amazing! Laser hulls are bomb-proof. Marit Bouwmeester's (Gold medalist Paris) own Laser is at least 10 yrs old. And that boat is thrashed every single day on salt water. No matter the conditions. The running gear is prone to wear. UK-based Southeast Sailboats sells top-of-the-bill parts for Lasers. (I have no connection with the seller, apart from being a happy customer).

Did you note the make of the sailboats that were racing? Were they J24's?
