Using 2 colours looks more like a pinwheel, and one colour looks more like a star. Both are lovely.

BEAUTIFUL Jan! and while the bird & magnolia cards with the small squares being the same are in fact quite lovely, I definitely prefer how the alternating squares show off the Faux Pinwheel design best ... may be the quilter in me, it appeals to me more from that point. Those petals do appear a bit tricky alright. I might have been tempted to fussy-cut a flower or grouping from the DSP used for your decoration below the sentiment although the wee buttons work very well too! Beautiful colours & papers used! Thanks so much; you've actually inspired me to finally try this card design! 😊
@janbcards5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Geraldine. Yes, I came to that conclusion when I watched the video. I love the card with the birds, but it's definitely the faux pinwheel that I did "properly" that I like the best! Unfortunately, I didn't think any further than the petals e.g. what would I use if that idea didn't work! Tch! Tch! xx

Jan these cards are so cute. I really miss watching and learning how to do your cards and boxes when I cant find your classes. There are so many that do their demonstrations but I dont like them for one reason or another. Some of them I cant understand when they talk. Generally because their micrafone isnt working or some other reason. However I have always enjoyed your classes so very much. Thank you

I think I may have said this before: I just love how calmly you go about things! I saw the "green male" version first on your blog and made a not to recreate this card. I'm just thinking - putting the glue only on 2 sides and a bit, isn't that just important for the very first piece of the pinwheel? Thanks from Germany, Stef
@janbcards5 жыл бұрын
Many thanks, Stefanie. Yes, you're right. But the squares don't need to be glued all over, so I recommend that all the squares are glued on two and a half sides. This way crafters don't have to remember to only do the two and a half sides on the last one. I think this is the easiest way. xx

Great card, Jan!! Could you please tell me the DSP in the masculine card? TIA
@janbcards5 жыл бұрын
Many thanks, Lynne. Yes, of course. The centre strip and the squares are both from Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. The background stripe is from last year's Neutrals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Stack. If you don't already have that pack and don't have a suitable alternative, you could use the script design in this year's Neutrals 6" x 6" pack or the green stripe deign in Magnolia Lane DSP. I hope this helps. xx
