I don't do elaborate ceremonies and mainly work out of doors where all I need is present. I've been on my path for over 20 years now and pretty much from the start it felt as if I'd done this before. I've always tried to be true to myself and not be a sheep. I've not cast a circle in a good 18 or so years and I've been told I'm doing it all wrong etc! I know that exact situation with dogs, I too am a Witch with a Saint Bernard, and he's just as attention seeking, he also barks and stuff at things that are quite a ways away. I agree with everything you've stated too, for example, if something didn't simply speak out and take hand as if by nature, much like when I started using Oracle cards when I was 11 years old, I would seek out knowledge and understanding for multiple sources, put that information together and use my instinct as a Witch to form my own viewpoint on whatever that may be. It's also something I've recommended to people who've asked me where to start, basically as to say, there is no one, single source that holds every ounce of knowledge, thus we shouldn't always trust the first thing we see as being the 'right way' because there's only 'your way' that the map and compass of our path is in our hearts, and our souls, and it is they that know the way, and it's something we should trust in just as much as the cauldron that is our brain.

Wonderful video and topic as always, and your fur babies did indeed make it just perfect =) I fell victim, in my early days of studying the craft, to being paralyzed by all the do's and don'ts I was always reading and hearing...all the formality just never felt comfortable to me, and it would often end up stopping me in my tracks and I would opt to not perform ritual, or do a spell, because I just did not feel comfortable. aww your dogs are so great and i am glad i wasnt wearing headphones lol, i had my volume up bcuz of the doors are open and the traffic on this little road is tremendous, but when they started barking, it startled me greatly!! but its ok i enjoy the sound of a dog barking but not when i am coming to a person's house and they start barking it scares me so, that i get scared and the dogs can smell fear on me and they dont know where or why the fear has struck me so they bark and growl more, its all a mess, but never say sorry for the interruptions, it is just your way of life with your grand dogs!! blessings to you all!!

I really do appreciate this video. I live in a country, in Israel, where you are defined so hugely by how you look. Even the pagan community individuals are doing this. You look like this so you ought to be practicing this type of magic and so on. Or they are not REAL witches because they don't do such and such. This type of thinking really rubs me the wrong way. So I listen, and sometimes comment, but try to stay true to myself. I feel within myself the desire to help people to heal and become whole. Not always, but most of the time.

+Glen Lovelace I'm not sure the left hand path draws more men than women (speaking from my own experience.) My own family was certainly drawn to it, but for me magic is all about intention. I don't really feel it comes from our blood (we're only hereditary human beings and that's all) - perhaps it comes from a feeling of powerlessness in everyday life, and a wish to reclaim some of that power in our magical life. I loved my Noah - still do. But he is no longer here with us now, having crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year. I find videos with him in very comforting.

It all boils down to intent. Ceremonial magic is just pomp and circumstances to get to your subconscious mind. Except Grimoire magic like John Dee Enchian, Greek Magical Papyrus, and The Goetia. Those are like telephone numbers to communicate with other entities. They do need pomp and circumstance.

It doesn't worry me much. I see it as me growing out of these friendships. I feel as I work on my self growth and improvement those who feel uncomfortable will fall away and hopefully newer better friends and lovers will come my way. If not and I end up being even more of a Loner then so be it. I'd rather stand in my authenticity than water myself down.

Familiars don’t bark for no reason They have something to tell you… I have had cats tell me to shut windows before storms, tell me a house was haunted (previous tenant was apparently stabbed by boyfriend & died while a party want on in flat upstairs. Apparently she crawled about to summon help). A previous cat told me the flat downstairs was on fire, & then told me the downstairs subsequent neighbour beat her kids. My previous dog told me about people to keep out of my Life. The current dog told me I had 2 left-side breast tumours that were, in fact 2 left-side breast tumours that necessitated an emergency radical mastectomy last Summer & saved my Life. Audrey knows something is up…
