In this short video, Tylluan discusses the need for us to match our words, beliefs and actions. 'Being a witch in a vacuum' means pretending that our Craft (our beliefs and magic, inter alia) can somehow exist while our actions and opinions are quite the opposite.
Tylluan is the author of over 30 books now (more to come soon!) many of which you can find here: shop.thewolfen.... we can usually ship anywhere in the world, but if you are in the UK please contact us first on info@thewolfenhowlepress as we process overseas orders manually rather than through the website.)
Some of Tylluan's books are also available as very modestly priced Kindle downloads (we are currently working on making some more available) from your local Amazon webstore.
Please don't be tempted with one of the many 'free pdf' versions of books - these are all pirated (i.e. stolen) and many come with hidden malware etc.
And please, if you have enjoyed this, don't forget to click on Subscribe and Notifications!

First, this didn't go where I thought it was going to go (I thought it was going to be a "if you aren't practicing.... etc.) - but I'm delighted about where it DID go! Being conscious about being a better person, learning the lessons, paying attention to our own emotions and our thoughts and our "opinions" does feel like something to add to our "practice."

It's such a shame how people carry on thinking they are better than others! Where's the empathy, compassion and kindness, the world could certainly do with more of this! ❤

Hi~I'm here in the U.S., and while I am duly ashamed of approx 50% of our population, I don't count myself in their numbers. I love to give comfort, food and fun to all around me. It's effortless, if you have a good heart. xx

I remember the microsoft guy saying that the population should be reduced and in my anger I was also thinking that he should lead by example and start this reduction with his family and end up with himself. That's wishful thinking I know xD Unrelated but this also reminds me of war quote: War is when young men die to fulfil old men's dreams. In orthodox religion we were told that we must not judge the priest, and do as he says not as he does and I was never ok with that. I think leaders of any kind should lead by example and never ask for self sacrifice from other while themselves are not doing that.

I’ve been really frustrated lately by drivers in the US. They are tailgating, weaving through traffic, cutting people off, using exit lanes to pass cars on the right and left. Going 100mph. They’re showing no regard for the safety of themselves or others around them. It’s outrageous and I think it shows the general mentality of people. Me. Me. Me. If you ever come to the US, don’t drive in Florida.

Thing is, there are people in the world that are malevolent. Not all witches have orhers best interests at heart unfortunately, but they're still witches none the less.

@tylluanpenry3233 political correctness being pushed on people, being nannied, and told what to think, say, and believe at the cost of your livelihood or the threat of a criminal conviction if we don't cow down is why people pretend. At the end of the day, no one has the right to judge how we should think or feel. Otherwise, it becomes like George Orwell's book 1984, when we are accused of being thought criminals.

I haven't seen the posts you're referring to. But these days someone saying "I disagree with this-and-such political position" is often met with accusations of being some sort of "ist" or "phobe". Once upon a time, in a discussion about taxes, I expressed being in favor of a flat tax rate--and another commenter accused me of being "sexist, racist, Islamaphobic, Transphobic," ect. And I realized in that moment that some people--and now a growing number of people--now use such words as swear words. So, unfortunately more information is required before I fully take on board anyone's reactions when such words are employed. I don't mean to impugn your integrity--but I don't know you personally and I don't know what political tribe you learn towards and how that shades your perceptions. It's a state that we've come to that such a thing is even a consideration--but we are where we are. I want to agree with you about the need for people to be better and moderate their tone--but I just can't be sure that we're on the same page and both looking at the world objectively (as objectively as humanly possible, that is.)

Thank you for your input. Even though we don't know each other, the most important thing is that we do look at the world objectively and try to match our opinions and actions to the way we try to present ourselves to others. It's not even about political opinions IMHO - if someone presents themselves as a far right, Brexit supporting individual, well then I suppose many of their opinions will line up with that. But when they claim to be one of the 'an it harm none' brigade, all sweetness and light, yet spew out some pretty horrid opinions, then I think they need to step back and see if they can square up their image with their actions and words. I have never understood for example, how someone like Doreen Valiente could join the National Front.

I'm very sorry that happened to you, and completely agree that this was an unfair overreaction. I would also just offer that I have some people in my life who consider themselves 'socially liberal and fiscally conservative' and talking to them can be quite frustrating, because while they largely support tolerance and equality, they are in favour of policies that create economic disadvantages for working class and marginalised people - and policies are ultimately what shape our lives. A flat tax rate can be an example of this. Something often supported by people who broadly support equality and justice, but who then support policies that concentrate wealth, and the opportunities that come with that, in the hands of people who are already wealthy. Women's rights probably the best example. All the politicians in my country 'support women's rights', but the soaring cost of childcare means many have to choose between work and parenting. Housing is incredibly expensive which means women stuck in abusive relationships can be priced out of escaping safely, especially if they have children. Burdens of caring for elderly parents, dealing with homeschooling during the pandemic, a parade of high profile men being accused of sexual violence with no recourse and the government banging on about gender neutral toilets instead of tackling real problems. I don't want social media posts on international women's day, I want policies that liberate women from financial and emotional strangleholds that weigh heavier on them than on men. All marginalised groups suffer to a greater or lesser extent from this issue, policies made mostly by people who do not appreciate what they need, because they don't live their lives. I know this is long but I just say this to express how much pain can build up for someone who is told they're equal now and should stop whining, while actual policies that shape their lives tell a very different story. That person absolutely overreacted at you and I'm sorry you had to deal with that. But for a lot of people, even just arguing for a flat tax rate is a big banner that says 'I care, but not enough to think too hard about my beliefs'

My c/o - u - sin's' name is {Cath} o id, from Ra-Y Tube Resistor . . . being the [Yoke] as the counterpart ~ we would use the expression as "Couch Potato" ~ Dailing it on: Down, she later had a Cabbage Patch Doll, though my eldest sister take on it being a waitress, was the movie Oliver as he / fell / off the truck Wagon on the way into town. S-witching the suppositions to all of that, the younger sisters' daughter would refer "The Old Wineskin" to Smokers [Patch] being the steppage down to her uncle, where I've just now learned the meaning of the old expression "BURY the Hatchet" . . . (s) as the "thought" expression of, would escape me being waylaid from the local In - di - an 's.
