Caleb Williams doesn't deserve a second Heisman for inflating his stats against these kinds of teams. The season doesn't start for him until he plays Oregon, Washington, etc. Quinn Ewers is proving his Heisman case right now against a Top 25 team, as he did against Alabama. CU could have just folded when they were down by at least three scores, but did not. Looks like CU made positive adjustments on its offense. I'm impressed! Colorado needs to work on their slow starts, but USC is a top 10 school, so great game! Buffs need some speed on both sides of the ball, but I already knew this at the beginning of the season and knew it would hurt them when it comes to playing Big Schools but great game. It wasn't a good game. Colorado never legitimately had a chance to win the game. Utah did the exact same thing to USC in last year's Pac-12 Championship Game. That USC defense is atrocious and so are the coaches. Against the real Top 4 (Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and Ohio State), Colorado would have been shut out and Shedeur's stat line would have looked horrendous. He's a system QB, and this is more than just adding a few linemen. Colorado has a lot of problems.

Two things can be true at once: 1. Colorado did a FANTASTIC job coming back in this game. Remember, they were without their two best defensive players (Hunter and Sanders) for this game. 2. USC is NOT a top 10 team. As is the same story with any Lincoln Riley team, their offense is great, and their defense is not.

Thanks for catching my typo, I meant their two best defensive players. Also, I'm a diehard Oklahoma fan. We used to have Caleb and Mario Williams, as well as Riley and Grinch. It was always painful seeing Oklahoma's explosive offense barely win close games because the defense was nowhere near as good. Now this is USC's problem (just like it was last year). Riley is notorious for having an explosive offense and not so explosive defense.@@skibbyb
