Hi Colin! Looks like the LoDi components all work really well together, and between them and iTrain you have a very versatile way of controlling everything! I look forward to seeing how you continue to master the system, as the track starts being laid and wired, and your vision becomes reality! All the best, Ian.

Hi Colin, Its always nice to be able to control the trains another way not using iTrains and your system can do it ok but I still think you have a complicated system and yes with what you want to do you probably need it but I am happy mine is so simple if I want to control my layout Locos, Points & signals all I have to do is turn on my DR5000 command unit and connect my phone or tabelet or both ( You do have to put all the info in first in each) and not a computer in sight the other way is to have the computer on with only the DR5000 on and then use the DR5000 interface but this is very clanky to use so tend not to use it I do not use DC power so do not know if I can do as you showed and on the very few occasions I do need it I just use my basic Hornby DC controller on a bit of track on the dinning room table. The wiring to the helix is very neat Charlie Bishop would be proud of you and when the system is up and running the wires will be separate from each block one going to the sensor and the other to the black power bus so well done on that. You have I think a job and a half doing your iTrains layout plan and yes a bigger curve would be very helpful but it does work but found with my plan had to amend it a bit because I did not know what you could do when sorting out all the blocks etc so do have a good look at the manual on this part of the work and then one may be enough to get it all to work. As you have now started the main layout plan in the computer have you checked that all your locos are in that one with all there setting and speed profiles in?. You are doing well so will await the next episode from you and I have a new one tonight were I stick my cube camera amongst all the trains running (5) that are all controlled by iTrains it may interest you from a track level seeing the signals etc. working. Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the iTrains experience. Cheers Robert.

Hi Robert so glad you have seen the video I appreciate your time and input. The system isn't to bad, it's a new way for me and to learn about so I may not be giving it's full potential. As for itrains I'm enjoying learning about the potential of what it's going to do for me in the running of it. I'm enjoying putting the plans from Anyrail to itrains America part was fairly easy, but moving into Europe then to Japan now this is going to be very interesting. As you come into Europe there are three levels and a small helix and that is going to be hard I think, but I'm up for it. I must be insane 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣. The locos I have brought across but I will check to see if all the details have come with it and I will let you know so thank you for bringing that up. I will watch the video if your live it's harder to do but I will try. We are both well. Colin

iTrain is only there for automation - you an control your layout using your wireless device and even some app on your phone I would imagine!! :)

Hi Colin your doing very nice detailed videos. Im thinking of investing in the Lodi modules and I too have Kato track and no6 points. I see you have the Lodi-83-AC but your points are Kato points and require DC to power the motors. Can the Lodi-83-AC actually power your point motors, if not, do you know what Lodi module can power the Kato points?
@collinsngauge5493 Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul you are wright you do need a separate power supply and unfortunately I have got round to finding which one I can use. The Kato track I'm using it just temporary and as you know Kato points have the motor built in and as it is on a window sill the Kato points work. And i was using it to learn how to use Lodi and itrains. In the next hopefully couple of mouths I will be starting the new layout and I will be using Peco code 55 track and points and Kato track for the Helixes. I will be using MP1 v2 point motors with the Lodi-Operator 4-WD-AC. On my old layout I was using servos but I was advised to use MP1 v2 for costs. I get the Lodi equipment from dcc train automation (James). The support with James and I have a direct number to the designer of Lodi in Germany there both fantastic people. If you need any help please ask and I will do my best to help. Colin

Did you find a solution with Windows going to sleep and stopping the Lodi Rector, or when you get Windows alerts?
@collinsngauge5493 Жыл бұрын
@@PaulTHedley Yes Paul you can turn the alerts off in Windows settings. Colin
