Thank you sir! This isn't new news tho, I hinted at it for a long time in my videos, but decided to finally make a dedicated video on the topic and how it went so far.

Rodion! Glad you're still around. For a while I thought you vanished on another long absence hiatus again. To your health man! How is it going overall? Care to tell me some life updates without doxxing yourself? Or just write on my email if you feel alright with it: fuckupcel@yandex.com

Any advice on quitting, and how you stopped drinking? I've been attempting to stop drinking for a couple months because I've put on so much weight, and it's overall not good for me. I'm not addicted per se, (I've gone a days without it with no issue) I just get lazy and decide "hey, why not." I'm sort of like you, drinking puts my mind at ease.

I can totally relate at that last sentence. It was one of the many reasons I enjoyed drinking. I also enjoyed "the taste". I know some people can't believe that, and would say "shut up, how can you enjoy something gross as whiskey?" but in reality it has all kinds of taste undertones lol. And usually those saying that are just tweens shooting tasteless crap vodka just to get pished on alcohol, so they can't see past that. The first thing in my case is that I had health side effects. I've been having acid reflux issues, and I had internal hemorrhoids that apparently can flare up from alcohol, causing colon pain (yes, really). I didn't know this until a doctor told me. The kickstarter for me was actual health issues. So the fact that you put it in your mind to quit, makes you somewhat of a better man than me. Oh yeah I also told myself the "I'm not addicted mayne" line, but when you keep returning to the bottle to feel better, or even as you happen to feel "get lazy and resort to it anyway" still means there's some addiction going on. So admit it to yourself man. Knowing you have a problem is the first step to breaking free from it. You know that line "But I can stop any time bro" is said by every addict ever, right? Honestly in terms of tips...I'd suggest you supplant the activity of drinking with other things. If you enjoy walking or hiking, do that more. If you have a tendency to watch shows with a bottle next to you, try watching shows by not sitting down, or off a tablet outside, or in a situation where you're far away from the bottle. Slippage can still happen regardless, even with the tips below. Last thing you want to do is feel bad/sorry for yourself after the fact. Document it. Write it down and reflect upon it, and disseminate what triggered/caused the relapse, and see how and what you can do in the future to better combat the reoccurence. Reach out and talk to someone if need be (this applied to the other tips as well). If nobody irl, then online. There's tons of forums, or reddit pages for AA. You can also do what the smokers do and instead of drinking alcohol, just drink the alcohol free alternatives instead. Not sure what your drink of choice is, but if you like beer, just replace it with alcohol free beer, and do that ONLY when the cravings kick in. (there's also such a thing as alcohol free spirits if you didn't know) Once that gets comfortable, try not even drinking alcohol free beer either. That's what I did. In fact, there are days when even now, more than 1 year later I drink an alcohol free beer every now and then, but I really try not to rely on it. If I feel alright and there's no need, I don't even drink alcohol free beers. That is the ultimate supreme goal. To get to that point. And also, if you happen to be in a social drinking situation, always go for the alcohol free variants, or better than that is to avoid that in case the people there are notorious alcoholics. Another good replacement: Drink any other liquids that have some kind of taste to them. It's not called "TEETOTAL" for no reason :) therefore TEA is a very good option. There's so many varieties and flavors, so even if you're a "tea hater" with enough searching you'll find something that fits your taste. There's a tea out there for everyone trust and believe. Try avoiding any trigger that might cause you to go back to the bottle. Any ads, or social situations, or other habits that you paired up with the bottle...gotta cut those out. Perhaps you can also write down in a notebook each time you managed to beat the craving for the bottle. "Today I went for a hike instead" "Tuesday I drank 3 cups of tea, instead of chugging vodka" "Today I saved this much $$ by buying that carton of tea, instead of that bottle of Evan Williams" Or even write down in that note the worst benders you remember, and highlight them "This is why I don't want to get back in that state, I felt terrible that day, I couldn't do anything else." etc. Nice tricks you can do to reprogramme your mind into realizing it's good to not get drunk. Also maxx out on anything you will use to replace drinking with: Tea, A Hobby, etc. especially when you're in a very good mood. Perhaps even go overboard on doing all these new activities then. That way your brain will associate those things with good things, and hopefully in time will see it more valuable than alcohol. And like in the other block of text you can *write it down*. It's called positive reinforcement, it can snowball effect. And lastly and most importantly...you have to fight it all the time. This one is the most important and hardest of them all...cause yeah...willpower. But it gets easier the more you stay away and the longer you stay away, and hopefully with the tips and tricks above, it will make it easier for you. I wish you the best of luck in this journey.

@@Fupcel Thanks for the advice. I'm not drinking today, and hopefully I can continue that.

@@North644 Yeah you're welcome man. I wish I had even more tips, but that's the most I could think and know. Also, personally I didn't resort to several in that list. But replacing beer with alcohol free and teas is something I definitely did.

That's good for you for stopping drinking alcohol. But it really is stupid what is doing with your YT channel. With deleting your videos. For no reason just for the fun of it. But what happened to Doomah go Gettah KZbin channel? I've been wondering if he removed his YT channel or it was from KZbin itself.
@Fupcel2 ай бұрын
No, Gettah got steamrolled completely by youtube. He started a new channel recently tho, or at least that's what he told me through discord DM's, but I don't think he uploaded anything yet.

tf is the point of drinking? The effects aren't even enjoyable. I can think of a litany of drugs I'd rather waste time and money on.
@Fupcel2 ай бұрын
Well, did you watch the whole thing? Like I already mentioned at some point in the video: people react differently to different kinds of drugs. To you drinking may be pointless, and I can understand that. In my case it was a calming/euphoric experience. Smoking weed on the other hand in my case was always a bad experience. Doesn't mean one is superior or inferior to the other. It's all down to the individuals reaction. They're both narcotics at the end that have side effects in time, and can cause addiction. Same can be said by any other substance that alters your state of being.
@forthefxde2 ай бұрын
@@Fupcel Fair enough. I agree about weed. Whatever your poison, it's all temporary and we always have to return to this realm; therein lies the REAL problem.
@Fupcel2 ай бұрын
@@forthefxde Indeed...one can only indulge into substance induced escapism for only so long, until the rude awakening yo-yo's us back into this sick messed up existence.
