Awesome! I do it all the time. It’s most helpful if the pan fits fully over the dish you’re trying to cover. If there’s any gaps for steam to sneak out then a recipe might take longer to cook but the top shouldn’t burn 👍🏼

Oh no I think it’s ok to use aluminum foil for cooking! I don’t want to make you second guess all these years! This is just a handy trick if you’ve run out or have occasions where you can save the foil and do this instead 👍🏼
