This is basically what Taureor already did (as Germany, mind you) except the goal was to have "0 casualties". Having "0 soldiers" makes this much tougher, as you can't use your pacifist army as a threatening tool. (Hence why Taureor got a completely new strategy).

To find out how much oil you need to import you look at the bottom of the oil table (at the top) in the trade tab and there is a little C and a M. The C stands for current fuel usage and the M for the Maximum fuel your nation could ever need if all things (motorized, air, navy, tanks, etc) were deployed and doing actions. Hope this helps anyone.

For the nuclear bomb research bonus I think you need to do the "special project" in the pp menu called "heavy water production". For Germany to do this I think Germany needs to have annexed Norway first.

Are you checking the box that tells your spies to resume their previous work after a mission is completed when you select them (the spies) for a mission? It's at the bottom of the spy selection box. It was a "..... HUH???" moment for me when I saw it for the first time.

Taureor, always max out agility on fighters first. The damage from reliability is very small and its much better if you're fighters trade extremely well.

What might have happened with the mannheim project: it gives a bonus to the next unresearched tech of the atomic research tree (nuclear research OR reactors OR nuke). If you were still researching nuclear reactors after completing the focus, it still gives a bonus to nuclear reactors, as you don't have them researched yet. You need to be really careful with that focus.

That's a very strange peculiarity with that focus since most other focuses' research bonuses don't apply to techs you're in the midst of researching

@@ertrick3693 Well the reason for that (probably) is paradox wanting to give 2 year ahead reduction for the first two nuke researches, but not nukes themselves, only giving a 100% boost for that. This way, you don't get nukes in 43, which makes balancing sense i suppose.

You can actually get Himmler (or Goring) another way without console commands: If you appoint Himmler as an advisor, you can recruit SS Divisions; however, if you keep on siding with the Wehrmact as opposed to the SS (you need to totally side with the Wehrmacht; you can't compromise), Himmler will attempt to assassinate Hitler. There's a small chance the event succeeds, and if it does, you'll get an option to have either Himmler or Goring take over, or alternatively, you can have the Wehrmacht restore order (Which results in Gunther Von Klurge taking over and the SS starting a civil war against him).

You actually can play as Himmler on Ironman. If you take the historical path and then if the Allies refuse the Sudetenland and you can’t defeat Czechoslovakia and you lose territory, an event fires which I’m sure you know about since it happened during your air only video. Either Hitler gets assassinated, that and a civil war fires, or Hitler survives. If Hitler dies and you don’t get a civil war then you choose between Himmler and Goring. It’s based on chance but it’s still possible on Ironman.

What still annoys me is that setting stricter air maintenance rules is only useful to get Victoria. And devs know it. It doesn't give you air XP, it doesn't lower weather, night and accident chance penalties. Taureor for next time: Air Wings should be as small as possible. That's because Aces get more efficient the less planes there are in a squad. Spamming 10 plane squads is a tactic that is so OP that it is banned in Multiplayer but as you like to cheese the AI that shouldn't stop you

When I was starting to playing Hoi4 and my army manage was still god damn awful (still is) I use to play Canada a lot and just full focus on planes. Till the end of wars I usually had 10k of them ,while another 10k been lend-leased to Allies. And Tac bombers are not that bad for getting war score bcs they can do both CAS and bombing at the same time, and thats why I like them

Just FYI, synthetic fuels will never give you enough, it's bad because it was irl. Japan irl projected they'd be able to become independent of foreign oil in the mid 1930's due to synthetics but by 1940 was only able to produce about 2% of what they expected, leading to the USA embargoes being extremely effective.
