Dutchman's Agates

Dutchman's Agates

Күн бұрын

Welcome to another video!
Today I'm back out at my favorite spot, and while I certainly didn't get skunked, I also didn't find an agate that really blew me away.
There were hardly any rocks deposited on the beach, along with a summer full of picking at the top of the beach where I normally find some overlooked treasures, I didn't find that "chef's kiss" if you will.
However, still found an awesome black agate, petrified wood and some other goodies! I had a lot of fun and saw some beautiful scenery in the tidepools and the ocean, so join me, and I hope you enjoy the video!
Thank you for watching!
Tot de volgende keer

The green creatures in the tide pools are called Sea Anemone.

Thank you very much! I'm not sure where exactly but I'm pretty sure fossils are found all along the west coast, so that's definitely possible. Thank you for letting me know, as I'm a complete rookie as far as fossils go lol.

That pet wood was quite a surprise actually, don't find a lot of that on this beach. Black agates are always interesting, as they're not as common here. Thanks for watching!

Man I keep striking out at the beach. That's why we stick to the River. Been to agate Beach twice and only found fossils haha. Where do you hunt?

Try beaches at Lincoln city, Pacific City and Tillamook. Those all should have agates, although most Oregon beaches have them. Even when they don't, you'll usually know pretty quick because you won't see the indicators like jasper. Hope that helps and thank you for watching!

@@DutchmansAgates yup it does. Thank you, last time we went it was like playing Russian roulette, which beach is best? You look them all up and hear a wide variety of good reviews from every beach. Haha I'm sure time of year and time of day also play a big part too. Thanks for the response.
