The British left behind some excellent brands and companies in Bengal which were all captured by paying pittance to their departing British owners by their non Bengali Indian allies and collaborators who have the same mentality towards Bengalis as the British. This was evident in the 1971 Bangladesh war. Unfortunately even till today occupation of British industries, companies and brands in Bengal by non Bengali collaborators of the British is completely missing in the popular narrative. This takeover of wealth of Bengal by non Bengalis immediately after 1947 happened with the active connivance of Congress and its dalals in Bengal. Today, the time has come when we need a consortium of Bengali financiers to takeover these companies, industries and iconic brands. Some will be done peacefully rest have to be taken through "offers they can't refuse" method. Those who are squamish about latter approach only need to look at the methods RPG group has adopted to takeover mines in Bengal, Tatas takeover of Air India, Adani takeover of NDTV, Mumbai Airport, ports in Andhra Pradesh etc etc. Takeover of Shiv Sena, NCP should put any remaining doubts to rest. Last but not the least, I don't see any Bengali sign in this signboard.
