What is the weight difference between the poi head and the handle?
@makkusu21
@makkusu21 8 жыл бұрын
+brk989 It will vary a bit depending on the size of your head (typically 80,90, or 100mm) and what you're using for handles. My 90mm heads are 158g heavier than my handles.

Hmm, anyone know if these tosses are possible with handles like Flowlight handles or crystal-capsule-pom-swivel handles? Tossing feels different on these in that I have to catch it in a slightly awkward way to restore momentum on my poi smoothly. Or should I just go back to ball grips?
@nathanvandevyver
@nathanvandevyver 9 жыл бұрын
It should be possible, only a little harder. I have these capsule handles too. I can do a single and double no beat throw with the poi spinning in split time same direction in wall plane, but I have no experience with the other ones. I have poi with ball grips too, I like the no beat throw more with these poi. They're easier. I don't know what you mean by catching it in a way to restore momentum. But it's a little harder since you have to aim for the poi head instead of also the tether. The biggest difference is in throwing the poi, you have to add more force to it. Which is why I think if you learn with one of these handles, you'll have trouble throwing the other. And the learning process for the capsule handles will be harder.

By restoring momentum, I meant catching the poi handles in a way so that I don't lose spinning speed, because that seems to be a common problem in my tosses. My goal in these tosses has always been to keep the poi spinning at a constant speed whether it's in my hand or out of my hand. Perhaps it's just that I'm not applying enough force to the poi handle, like you said.
