Hello friends myself Dr Nagendra thalor cardiologist, today we will discuss about one important cause of chest pain that is myocardial bridging.
A myocardial bridge is a usually harmless condition in which one or more of the coronary arteries goes through the heart muscle instead of lying on its surface.
Symptoms of Myocardial Bridging
Most people with myocardial bridges are healthy and have no symptoms caused by the bridge. However, some people with this condition may experience:
Angina (chest pain or tightness) on exertion
Shortness of breath
Palpitations (irregular heart rhythm)
Our treatment options include:
Diagnosis by coronary angiography which shows narrowing of artery during systole and normal artery during diastole.
Treatment
Medication
The drugs we prescribe for myocardial bridging may include:
Beta blockers: Drugs that slow the heart rate and help ease the amount of force with which the heart squeezes
Calcium channel blockers: Medications that help to relax and widen blood vessels
Statins: These reduce cholesterol levels in the blood, which helps to prevent plaque build-up.
Aspirin: Aspirin may help prevent blood clots or artery blockages
If symptoms continue even on medication than unroofing of bridge is done by surgical myotomy and coronary artery bypass surgery.
Myocardial bridging is present around 1.5% to 16% people.

Sir lipid profile test report normal hai. TMT report b negative hai, fir b kyi bar chlte time body disblanced jaisi feel hoti hai.Sans fulti hai..
