NO Bubbles in resin without a pressure pot? is it possible?

Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am trying out Customcast Deepcast 100:40 Deep Casting Epoxy Resin from Resincolour.
I tried this out in a shoe mould a few weeks ago and put the mould in the pressure pot.
Not having enough to try it without the pressure pot, I regretted it.
Resincolour kindly sent me another bottle so that I could do the experiment again NOT using a pressure pot.
So In this video I use the same Shoe mould and this time leave it on my worktop to cure.
The results speak for themselves.

No they are too thin for a phone. You could use it as a pen holder or keys but I think they look great as just slippers 😂 and yes that foil is amazing 😀

Absolutely brilliant video... I've been humming and hawing about doing some resin/wood casting for my wood turning and this looks like the one to try.... Obviously I don't have a pressure pot so it seems to be the one to try first... Thank you for posting...

Thank you so much John. I’ve not tried it with wood but if I was you I would seal the wood first to prevent air bubbles leaking from the wood while curing. So give it a good coat of thin resin first, that’s how I would do it anyway 😀😀😀👍

I don't have bubbles when I mix my resin but after it come out if the mold inhave Mico bubbles. I'm pouring taper candles.

They are always there when you mix the resin, but won’t show up until cured mostly. If you want bubble free pieces you could invest in a pressure pot. Hope this helps 😀😀💜

I've been having troubles with micro bubbles on the surface of my jars. I'm thinking it might be my resin. I use Let's resin and I think it gets warm and gels before the bubbles can release. I need to find another resin for my jar molds

Lets resin is only meant for 15 mil maximum pours so it probably is over heating. Lake from vista would be a good alternative or this resin from resin colour 👍😀

I don’t cast many flowers but I do use a pressure pot when I do, so my choice would be vista ocean 😀👍

This resin looks really good. Now that you have a pair you are ready for the ball. The natural question is the cost. How expensive is this resin?

I haven’t for a while. It’s probably a glitch. But Jdiction do a good deep pour 72 hour cure resin if that helps. 👍❤️

Katherine are you in the UK? There is not a great choice here to be honest. I bought mine through a link that Nick Zammeti put up and have been very happy with it. But there was very little choice at the time. I can get you the link if you want Come back to me 😀😊

Personally I would visit Let’sResin. They have some amazing pigments. They have a shop on Amazon so it’s quick and easy too. And their prices are very reasonable. What colorant did you use for the UV resin bow? (it’s such a gorgeously deep and even red!) Lovely results 😊

The Red is a lets resin alcohol ink. I mixed it quite dark and did several thin layers and cured it each layer. Hope that helps 😀👍❤️
