Nice Wikipedia lookup on voir dire. Don’t be slack. If you are going to say it literally means “to speak the truth” you would be incorrect. The interpretation could lead to that meaning. Literally it means, in French, “to see, to speak.” As in, “you will be seen by the judge, advocates and the accused so be careful what you say.”
