One of my favorite details in the game happens after one of them dies. (I haven’t played through in a while, so bear with me) but, if Reko dies and you go to the medical Bay Area, Alice is sitting there and Safalin brings up the idea of erasing his bad memories of her. He accepts. But, if Alice dies and you go to the same area, Reko turns down the use of the machine, choosing to remember her brother in full. It shows the beautiful contrast between each of their characters. Alice isn’t mentally strong enough to think of his deceased sister, while Reko forces herself to accept the fact her brother died. Idk, just found that detail interesting and unique

God I thought the game has only one route for this and I had no idea it could had two paths and save different people. I'm so used to telltale games where in the "save one person or another" don't really have consecuences because whoever you save will be really secondary and be demoted to the background, but both Reko and Alice have screentime and still participate in the story. And holy shit you learn a lot of different things from Alice's path. And seeing how both react differently and get new sprites... is so well done and im so happy they took the time to programm and do all this I really wish I could just throw money to the creator of this amazing game, but the language barriers aren't helping much ;_;

Ronnie The canon route seems to be Alice and Kanna. Because at the beginning of chapter 2 we’re shown Q-taro and Gin on the floor, and that’s what happens if Alice lives. And Sou dying gives Sara such a boost... Also, the canon story must have the most well-written story and content, and Alice dying just isn’t as interesting as two Rekos duking it out. Same with Kanna and Sou.

This is the first time I've seen this outcome and I'm just going to say my thoughts. I didn't cry when Alice died in the other outcome but I was really sad! But now that I knew how Alice reacted to Reko's death.. I cried a bit. And It really shows that Reko is mentally stronger because she didn't use the machine in the other outcome unlike Alice in this one! It really shows their differences in character. Yeah I really like the differences shown between them. You can see that Alice is very sensitive/emotional and scares easily. As much as I love Reko, I decided to let Alice live on my second route in Chapter 3. I love Reko, I truly do. But I think that her arc should've have been finished there, right there where one of the Yabusames is going to die. During my Ch3 playthrough (I won't put spoilers) I noticed that... she really didn't grew much of a change. Alice, in other hand, is weak-willed and a soft person (on the inside) with an awful life during prison. He had so much on my Ch3 route. Reko is a handy, she's strong on her own and had a lot of development. I picked Alice and I picked him to live since he still has a character development still on-going and things we don't know about him that, honestly, I couldn't buy with Reko's POV. Reko is my favorite, but Alice won my heart for this. At least, that's what I think...

There needs to be a way where you can: (spoilers for chapter 1 part 2) Save Joe. He was my favorite character and easily one of the sweetest. He wanted to live, sure, everyone did. But when he goes and says that he can't see anyone as bad people, I genuinely started tearing up. I get that Joe's death is important to Sara's character arc, and it's handled really well. But I think he should've gotten some sort of scene where you can save him (by tapping button like godly mode or by getting everyone to vote for him) and it would've been like a game over, but Joe and Sara get to go home back to their family and friends (Joe has a girlfriend gosh darn it ;w;)

Got this first time, thinking it was the normal route (I thought this game was fully linear until I saw one vid where Reko lives). I gotta say, I have a lot of conflicts on which route I prefer. Alice is weaker and more naive than Reko, which kinda makes me root for him a bit more. That's why he couldn't live with the thoughts of dead Reko and resorted to the machine, where Reko would take the harsh path and live with it. He just comes off as more interesting too. I liked Reko in first chapter but she got put in a very secondary role after that. Btw, are you gonna cover the 3 endings?

I want to point out the genius for this part of the game. It leads you into thinking you're deciding Gin's fate, but in actuality you're deciding the fate of the Yabusame siblings. I did the Reko route because I was so scared of Gin dying. I even saved and restarted if I made even the slightest mistake lol. I didn't even know you could save Alice.

I think it was right for Alice to die, Alice living without Reko doesn’t seem right while Reko has been living without Alice for such a long time. Alice just wouldn’t be complete without Reko and he went to Safalin to forget his feelings of Reko. Those feelings of Reko are a part of him and he wouldn’t be Alice without it. While I wholeheartedly agree that Alice needed more time/character development, I don’t really like this route. This route is also kinda bad for Sara, in the other route, Sara was able to stop hallucinations and move on but in this one, Sara just continues to have the same hallucinations of Joe... I’m glad that Q-Taro did take the sting though, it made me think of him in a better light..

I'm not exactly sure about the idea that saving the false Reko and Sou is actually based on logic, I mean, saving the false Reko means you acknowledge the fact that what makes humans what they are, is the feelings, and the false Reko was able to feel the same way than a human. Is only unfair that Ranger actually stretched the rules saying that one had to die, I mean, they can't do that, which is why he gets shot in the head. And they do exactly the same thing with Alice, only this time they use the lies room trick to make it coherent, but in fact, they should've survived both. And in Shin's case, I think the game gets it all wrong. Saving him is not an act of logic, but rather mercy, because he was someone who had helped us trying to escape and tried redeeming himself. He deserved a second chance, and the game didn't gave him that second chance, after all, even when you decide to kill him, Sara says that she hated him and that's why she chose him. I mean, he helped at the end and all he gets is such ending? I think it's actually sad. I mean, if only they hadn't said that, yeah, I hated you, I would've actually thought of it like the sacrifice of Shin, and be really proud of him like the hero who gave his life for his comrades, but this way, I only see him as the one who Sara stepped on only to survive. And that actually makes me mad, because I don't think he was irredeemable, and yet the game actually does that, only killing him or turning him into a villain. I actually hope to see Shin avenge Kanna, because of the group, I'm starting to think poorly about everyone except Gin. I mean, he even said I don't like loner, but I don't want him to die. But no one except Gin actually said something like that, I mean, the ones who voted Kanna were thinking on logic terms, but Gin didn't, and I think Sara's choice should've been similar, like, I don't want any of you to die, or I'm sorry, something like that, so I didn't feel such hatred for her after her choice

Yes, fake Reko does indeed feel emotions, but let's think back how she was discovered to be fake: she doesn't have the same personality as the real Reko, despite having the same memory. What does it mean? Their feelings and personality need to be updated, as in coded in. So their 'feelings' aren't exactly 'true', it's just what they are coded to feel. I personally don't like how either Alice or Reko has to die, but if I have to choose, Alice has to go. Not because I don't feel like sympathizing with the dolls, I just don't want Alice to suffer knowing that his sister is dead before he can even make up to her. For Shin's case, this is when a lot of people have different opinions. The game does seem to favor Kanna surviving than Shin, as you can see in the ending of chapter 2. To be fair, his death is not just 'another step'. He motivates Sara with the good Joe AI, and Kanna with his sacrifice. He isn't viewed as a villain at all, if anything, he's actually viewed as a hero (go see the beginning of chapter 3, Kanna route). Well, even in the route where he survives, they don't hate him, but pity him for not being able to save Kanna. His efforts to help the group aren't ignored. Sara said she 'hated him a little' after voting for Shin was more like a coping mechanism for the fact that she had just technically killed him with her vote. Sara and Gin were in the same position, not knowing who to vote, but Sara didn't want a kid like Gin to make such a difficult choice that could result in one's death, so she decided to be the last one to vote in place of Gin. She doesn't want anyone to die, it's just that she has no other choice than killing either Shin or Kanna (if you don't count Nao, which is the kill-all option). Sara saying she hated him after voting for him even though came across as rude, she didn't really feel that way. When Safalin was about to kill Shin, Sara shouted out 'Don't kill our ally, please!', which I think is what she truly feels. All in all, Shin is not really portrayed as a 'villain', just a misunderstood hero, whose efforts in the end was finally recognized. He redeemed himself in the middle of the Main Game already, that's what made the final decision harder. Voting for Kanna means he fails to protect the person he wants to live most. You refuse his wish of having Kanna survive just because you want him to actually have a chance to win. Most of the game, Shin's trying to protect Kanna. Now that Sara technically killed her, Shin lost his original reason to continue, that's why he holds a grudge against Sara. No one actually blame Shin or exclude him despite his hostility towards Sara, they all feel sorry for him.

@@monochrome4937To be honest, I didn't play the third chapter, so I didn't know about the fact that they pitied him, I was talking based on what they said at the second main game, since it was kinda sad, I mean, after seeing through his eyes for a moment, I began to understand a bit of the way he acted, and it made me side a bit with him, and maybe that clouded my reasoning, but it felt truly heart-breaking, more after him being the one who tried to get everyone to escape. Seeing it that way, I can understand that way of thinking, but, at the same time, I feel that Kanna would actually be in a similar position. In my first playthrough, I actually saved Shin, because I actually felt like he deserved a second chance, and in that moment, his anger truly made me appreciate the character even more, but when I tried to see the other one, I didn't see Kanna react the same way in the slightest. Maybe it's explored in chapter 3, I'm not sure, since I try to get there with little to no spoilers, and my gosh, it's hard, since my recommendations on KZbin are flooded with Kimi ga shine content, but for the moment, I am a bit upset with Kanna. Also, part of my reasons to decide Kanna had to die the first time was also the fact that she had a sister who had died in the game, I thought that she had someone in the other world waiting for her, while Shin would be alone, after all, I thought that with his paranoia, he would have no strong bonds with someone in the other life or something like that. I don't know, to be honest, it was a hard choice, the one with Reko not so much, since I didn't know that I could forgive the false Reko, so I couldn't get to decide there, but in this game, the decisions are tough, and seems like there's no right answer, because in all of them, I get that bitter feeling, like, I don't want to do this to them, they don't deserve it, and it just feels awful. Even more when you get to know them.

I KNEW you could save both Gin and Q-taro that way, although we weren't warned about the consequences for Reko. I'm wondering how they're going to keep player choice through the game if your choices are able to materially affect who will die (in contrast to DR or Ace Attorney, where you either pick correctly or lose) - they'll have to either have the killable characters not influence the story much, or they'll have to create a lot more content for branching story possibilities. I was really surprised that no one came up with a universal finger-cutting rule or something else minor that would cause bleeding.

Right click during the scene where you're about to push her. The game asks you something two times you have to say "yes" to both OR you can always let the timer run out... that's also another way to get Alice's route.

Right click and then it should ask you something you say "Yes" then the game says something again and you have to say "Yes" again... this is how you get Alice's route during the part where you have the choice to push fake Reko.

I’m not sure what to do at the point. I really like gin. But I also really liked Alice. I don’t think i can go back without starting the whole chapter back over, should I finish the game how it is now and then go back and change what happened??? Or something else. I honestly feel really bad for choosing the reko route. Either way she lives it’s really between Alice or gin. I feel kinda bad... it would help if you had suggestions!

So as of 3b, the options are (Alice + Kanna) (Reko + Kanna) (Sou) And (Haya, Mai, Suit and specs) Unimportant There may be a choice to actually choose gin or keiji bc they foreshadowed it in 3b. Unless in 3.2a they go for a potential gin v keiji v sou as punishment for making bad decisions
