The stand is really cute and I like seeing how you made it with pallets. Having used a stanchion to milk goats of various sizes, I found that sitting where your seat is makes it awkward to milk from that angle. I found it easier to sit perpendicular to the goat near the center of their body and reach under them from their rather than reaching between their legs or facing the same direction as them. Hopefully it will work for you and your goats, but like you said if it doesn't them you can just use a separate seat. I've been wanting to build myself a stanchion and this design is a great one. (I will leave the seat off though 🙂) Thanks for sharing!

We used 2 pallets for this design.

We just sit beside our goat lol an there is still plenty of room also we sit at the bottom to milk (just giving tips that we struggled with) and we also bought a milker bc oh my lord that stuff kills your hands!

We have a small hand pump milker in case we need to use it. With them being so small it may be easier in the long run to do it this way, we shall see!
