Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've watche da bunch of videos and read how-tos and this was by far the most approachable version (and the fewest cuts, which is great!!). I got my milking stand made thanks to you!!

That's awesome my friend! Well done. I see your subscriber count is cruising along. That's awesome to see. We're considering getting some goats within the next year or so. Baby steps. I need to lay the ground work, literally, before I can have a few.

Used your guidelines to make my own milking station. Gonna test it out tonight on our really stubborn milker. 👍

Sincrerly appreciate this step by step - we have a Nubian that refuses to let us milk her, but she needs it AND some hoof maintenence. This will defientley allow us to keep her still so we can help her out.

Did this fit your nubian? I have one too, but she's quite tall compared to the goats here. Was hoping I could just use the same dimensions, but may need to change it?

Looks great. I'm going to build one this week. Just wondering how far apart are the 2x4 that hold the goats head, and what length lag screw did you use? Thanks you

Just made this under an hour and my goat is a first timer and she jumped right up and I milked her 😊 and let the kids drink also , which she wouldn’t before building the stand

Simple & easy how to. 👍 Just getting into goats now (Now that we have a prego Nanny, a young doe, 2 bottle babies + 1 OTW) Haha. Thanks for the simple tutorial. -Okie

What did you place on the top to secure both of the 2 by 4’s after they enclose around the goats head? For example, typically people have a second piece of wood to keep the tilted wood in place. Or they have chains to secure and latch them together. Do you have any advice on that? At the very end the video cuts off at the top so I could not see. Thanks by the way, excellent instructions!

Thank you! I am new to this, what kind of screws do you use?
@smellygoatacres2 жыл бұрын
Not the channel owner but you should use coated deck screws.

What fasteners do you use to assemble the stand? Thank you.
@TheCookFamilyHomestead Жыл бұрын
I'm using standard outdoor screws for most of it. 1-5/8". I used 3 inch deck screws for the frame.
