I really enjoyed this. The foul hooked gar was a bonus. I live right next to the Ohio and big sandy so this should work.

John, you’re absolutely right. I fish the Ohio near Cincinnati and we catch skippies the same way you describe it. It’s all about the current, seams and eddys. Thumbs up on your video!

I had to get on my phone to like or leave a message. Because my you tube on my tv won't let me thumbs up or comment or post a question/suggestion. So, I am on you tube ON my phone to say that I like your work. I like that you're not a know-it-all arrogant type guy. But l have watched a lot of your videos and I can relate to (regular dudes) like a few of you all. Kris florez (muddy river catfish) (Steve Douglas)(Luke , catfish and carp). And a few salt water guys. I just wanted to say that some of us out in the country don't have the option to put up a like or a thumbs up on KZbin. Unless we get on the phone to do it. Thing is, folks watch and like y'alls videos but can't tell you that. So keep posting, us silent TV tubers will watch. Southeast Indiana fan. I'm partial to Maryland dam.

Nice tip for an alternative method to catching skip jack, when a lock and dam are not close around you. Wish you were able to catch more, I'm sure your bait business could use them, however, that's why they call it fishing, you don't always fill the cooler every time you go. Keep the videos coming, really enjoy them. Tight lines brother.

Glad you’ve got some bait closer to home! Next time I go for skip jack, I’ll have to remember the angle. I was pulling bait either with or perpendicular to the current in Alabama. Maybe that’s why I didn’t catch any. Blessings!

First time watcher, very interesting way of fishing. I assume you are using them for catfish bait. Down here in Texas we typically throw the cast net for mullet. Going to checkout more of your videos.

I tried to take a little bullhead of my top hook with a little 3 foot leopard shark on bottom when he started the Ickey shuffle and set that dang hook right in my thumb.. Should have seen the joy on my brothers face when I told him to fetch the pliers...
