I had this album in 1989 (I was 15) and my parents threw it out and I'm still salty. I saw No Doubt perform it at The Roxy in LA back then and the crowd was small. I still remember Gwen was wearing a green sequin top with blue jean overalls and her hair was brown. Legendary

@@demir29 there are still bands playing more traditional 60s ska. But the late 80s early 90s ska sound is definitely dead. It is not popular anymore absolutely.

Because, unfortunately it didn’t sell. They try to do that with their debut album but it came out when everyone was hyped around “Nirvana“, and all the “Grunge” stuff... You probably know the story from there. Eric left the band and they took up singing and songwriting for themselves and it was less “Ska Influenced“... PLUS, it sold WAY WAY more!!! But, I agree! Their “Ska” sound is incredible!!! :)

The bed is made, so is the cake The frogs are swimming down in the lake The chairs are stacked and the house is locked The food is eaten and the boat is docked The flowers are watered and the glass is filled The chain is linked, the money's billed The walls are painted and the bell has rang What is wrong? Everything! 1, 2, 3, 4 Everything everything everything's wrong Ever quit your bitchin and you want to go on But if you look at me you laugh and you say 'Why just give me another thing, don't tell me this way' Everything's wrong Everything's wrong Your hat is sewn, the clock is set The toilet's flushed and the sponge is wet The lights are on and your shoes are tied My posters are up and my hair is dyed The house is built and the records scratched Your dishes are dirty and your pants are patched The chrome is shiny and the juice tastes like tang What is wrong? Everything! That's all I say, I say no more So please don't ask for an encore! 1, 2, 3, 4 Everything everything everything's wrong Ever quit your bitchin and you want to go on But if you look at me you laugh and you say 'Why just give me another thing, don't tell me this way' Everything's wrong Everything's wrong Everything's wrong Everything's wrong

I always thought No Doubt went downhill because Eric Stefani quit the band. Everything after the Tragic Kingdom misses that special feeling No Doubt had before. Ok Rocksteady had some nice songs but only a couple. They should be presented as a 7-piece band with Eric Stefani on keys, Stephen Bradley on trumpet and Gabriel Mc Nair on trombone. In my opinion they sold out to stay relevant in this industry but gained nothing.

One of my regrets is that I never saw the pre-1992 No Doubt live. I was into Madness in 1991 but was not aware of the OC ska scene. OC was only about 30 miles away and they were playing at many of the colleges in the area. By the time I found out about them, their ska days were long behind.
