Why isn’t the gold cup ever held in Mexico? The tournament being in the us every time just makes the competition a bit boring it’s like the copa America always being in Brazil

Money. It'd be fine to host a ground maybe even a couple of knockout games in Mexico (like they do in Canada sometimes) but the finals are always going to be in the US.

Absolutely fine with it. These types of tournaments should be regional when in the US. There are plenty of stadiums west of the Rockies with plenty of fans assuming the next time the tournament is in a different region. Same with the South and North East. Places like Chicago can tag along with one of the regions if it makes sense.

The A team doesn’t come to the Gold cup even without other stuff going on. And I go to a lot of the games in Arlington and we don’t fill the Cowboys stadium ever anyway. Gold cup leaves pretty much the whole 4th deck empty

The Gold Cup and Copa America should just merge. FIFA is like the only global sporting org where the Americas are split in confederation. All the South American sides and Canada, US, and Mexico get automatic qualifiers and then CONCACAF fills out the remaining eleven teams.
