There were lots of carrots for breakfast. Kintaro did not want other family members to take them, so he scurried around and eventually hid among the trees to eat them. However, they were in full view of visitors to the zoo.　Gentaro has been going into a very quiet mode again recently.

He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.

She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

He still has a way to go to catch up to dads size,he is short still when he stands on his hind legs,dad is very tall,he might take after mom on that.,I be don't know how much more he will grow, but him not being a leader of his own family will stunt his growth, probably already has started, because dad was full grown at 10.but gorillas can grow until 15.

I recently saw a video in Gabon where a large group of chimpanzees attacked a silverback, 2 females and a baby. They were outnumbered and the adult gorillas survived but limped away. The baby was killed. I am not fond of zoos but I am happy Momotaro family is safe. I love this family so much and am glad they are protected. Thank you GL for your narration.

Kintaro is getting a long face like a dad and Gentaro, but still has moms features,he doesn't resemble other male gorillas,his face kind of resembles a human, funny looking, but cute Gentaro has that king Kong look face and is very handsome,like dad. Mom is a pretty and sweet old lady, very cute. Kintaro nickname should be carrotoro,the carrot 🥕 phene, that is all he did eat.

Kintaro always had light colored hair like mom all over his body. Gentaro has dark hair like dad,which I think is prettier than the light hair,but Gentaro is becoming a silver back like dad,but still has dark hair too.
