Even if this doesn’t work, you’ve gained a new sub just because of your energy!! So the trick is to start small $ per/hr, show examples of work and get as many good review as possible. Then once you look like a pro, charge more? I’m guessing it may take a few months to get a decent amount of reviews as the jobs will be far in between with not much reviews. So it’s a patients game, but if you stick with it, it will be worth it in the long run. Also with repeat customers, it’s borderline passive income if your accomplished on the app. I don’t mind spending $50 on a pack of connects. I would bid a lot of connects just to get a few jobs for reviews. Is it “the more connects you bid, the better chance you have at getting hired”?

This video provides a great starter for people who want to get into freelancing on the main platforms. What tips do you have for rising the ranks and getting those top-rated reviews? In my experience, the customer service element is what is most lacking on these platforms, so any tips for viewers on how to improve this aspect of their work should help with their reviews.
@JoshBurnsTech3 жыл бұрын
Getting 5-star reviews with great feedback is all about over-delivering. Customer service and soft skills tends to be the most lacking areas in my experience. I try to always keep the client in mind and keep them fully up to date on my work. Communication goes a long way in building long term client relationships.

Think about what you're doing, the time your putting in, how disciplined you are, and the level of effort that you're actually giving. Also look at other freelancers who have your skill set. Hello Josh, great videos thank you! I feel I have different things I can offer on upwork, from being a tutor for several subjects, to interpreting languages, to all these things you just mentioned here. So my question is, how can you create multiple or one profile for all these things you are able to offer, and will it sell? Or should I create several upwork accounts? Or what is your strategy for this, because a 'can do anything' person may not be as appealing for employers? Looking forward to your thoughts.

@JoshBurnsTech3 жыл бұрын
Hey! You first need to determine if you enjoy it. My success with SQL is largely due to the fact that I love it. There's no way that I could have put the hours in if I didn't enjoy the work. You will make way more money and be happier if you find someone that you truly enjoy. So take some free courses (skillshare link in bio), watch some free KZbin content, download a DBMS such as SQL Server, and determine if you enjoy it. Find a good combination of expected pay and skill enjoyment.

@@kapilsharma-uu5zo Those are really the basics of any SQL language.
