Naja. Die Landung war ziemlich hingerotzt. Aber mit nem halben Flügel, ok. Ich rede allerdings nicht von RC-Modellen.

Stefan Leicht hast mal gesehen wie ein extra 300 Pilot die ganze rechte Seite verlor und gekonnt in Messerflug ging, aus richtige Richtung knapp Landebahn überflug und im richtigen moment prompt die viertel Rolle macht und SANFT landet?! Ich rede von einem Flugzeug und nicht ferngesteuerten Segelflugzeug mit unkritischen Flächenbelastung.

Hättest du dazu mal nen Link? Ich kenne da nämlich ein Video was zu deiner Beschreibung passt, was allerdings ein (später öffentlich zugegebener) Fake von Galileo war...

@@imaginerus Habe erst jetzt dein Kommentar gelesen. Ich Versuche das herauszufinden, habe Mal meinem Bruder per WhatsApp verschickt. Es ist ausgeschlossen, dass das ein Fake wäre, das Video ist ziemlich klar und da passt alles zusammen. Habe auch das ganze mit meinem Freund, ein Luftwaffe Oberst, geredet. Der hat das auch als möglich bewertet, da mit einen extra in Messerflug zu gehen ist klar nicht aussergewöhnliches, in dem Moment ist der der Rumpf und der Seitenruder die tragende Einheit, der hat nach kurzem Zickzack das Flugzeug abgefangen und USt in Messerflug gegangen, dann hat ihn auf Landebahn ausgerichtet und entlang der Bahn mit fehlende Flügelseite zum Bahn eingeflogen, gaaanz tief und dann gekonnt zackig 90° Drehung in die normale horizontale Lage was in der gleiche Moment mit aufsetzen endete. Werde nach dem Link suchen.

Kann es sein, dass der Pilot vergessen hat die äußeren Flächenteile zu verriegeln, man sieht auch an der rechten Fläche einen ziemlich großen Spalt. Das er ihn heil runter bekommen hat ist eine gute Leistung und es sah recht mühelos aus.

Der Preis geht an die Entwerfer von Schempp Hirth, großartige Leistung des Modellfliegers und für mich als Segelflieger eine Beruhigung, dass so etwas überhaupt möglich ist...vielleicht solltet ihr auch Flarm benutzen

Landing with part of a wing, a big part, is not magic (or all that hard...) the magic is what made the missing part of the wing disappear! I would love to see that!

Nice recovery but looks like pure luck. If that piece of flight control (flap?) on the left wing hadn't got stuck in the down position, the plane would have probably entered an uncontrollable left roll and spiraled in.

Ashley he did do right hand circuits save the final left turn, and this ship is not 9m maybe 9 feet , 9 meters would me almost 30 feet

flaps do not work asymmetrically although flaperons work in conjunction with ailerons, I disagree with your summation obviously lacking technical understanding of the systems, with a clean separation of the outer panel there is nothing that would cause a flap to stick - he had full control from the moment of the incident and made good decisions and showed remarkable airmanship
