There is if you're in somewhere even semi remote or off the beaten Track. It doesn't happen everywhere but it wouldn't be uncommon to come back and your Tyres are slashed. Pretty sure it still happens to some but not all Tourists at Blackrock but that's the first place that pops to mind from when I was a young Booger.
