Check Fiverr’s help guides about that. There’s something in the TOS about commercial rights and distribution rights being automatic with delivery (??) unless stated otherwise. I’m not a legal expert so I’m honestly totally unsure. If people ask me to double check that they have the rights to use the content, I just tell them yep. Nothing official.

9:40 is the basic gig performance analytics found under the Gigs tab in the top menu. 9:50 is advanced analytics exclusive to the seller plus program (massive eyeroll)

Do you have a video covering revisions? I'm working as a copyeditor, so most of my packages have two or three passes. Would the revision option be suitable for this, or should I make each pass a different gig? I worry that this is putting too much pressure on the author to rush through their revisions.

In the writing side of things, versus editing, revisions are rare. BUT I do have this video talking a bit about revisions kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYuspICDqqeXoa8 and the next one in the playlist about order time management might be helpful as well. I would set a long delivery and clearly communicate to them that there are three ‘micro’ delivery periods scheduled (I.e., one pass per week, three weeks total), but if you’re relying on them to get back to you before you can proceed with the next chunk, then you put yourself in a risky situation of being stuck and unable to finish the delivery. In that cases, I would make each pass a separate order.

Do you need permission from clients to use their orders (that you edited) as part of your portfolio and samples?

It’s not a bad idea to ask, but I personally don’t. No one has ever complained or requested that I remove their work from my portfolio (which I promptly would - obviously). If someone seemed privacy oriented or had some industry revolution invention, I don’t include it in the portfolio - again, obvious. I also format them as pictures so it’s not duplicate text to hurt their SEO. If you’re concerned about it, you should just redact any sensitive/distinguishing information. Or better yet, just create spec projects to build out your portfolio.

Hi Carrie. I'm a new seller and I find so many Facebook groups where Fiverr sellers favourite each other's gigs to kick in the Fiverr algorithms. I'm quite skeptical about this. Does this really work or is this some kind of myth? Shall be grateful if you could point to a video you may have made on this topic. Your advice is the only thing that seems genuine and trustworthy.

I haven’t heard of that, but I doubt it would work. The algorithm is super nuanced and it collects a ton of information about buying tendencies. I guarantee that other sellers who frequently favorite random gigs through direct links without searching or buying won’t help anything.

Let's say that I follow all these procedures for a month, will it result in orders after that month or is this something that has no surefire way to gain clients? I've been updating and modifying my gig daily to make it better showcase my capabilities, and yet nothing has come through. Carrie, I love your videos, they have been so helpful! But I have a question in regards to having multiple gigs. I created my profile on Fiverr a month ago or so and right now I have 3 gigs active. However, I want to create more gigs but I have this fear that maybe if your gigs are not related people are going to be a bit weirded out. For example, right now all of my orders come from my gig about editing videos but imagine I start beta reading and illustrating. Isn't that confusing? That’s a strategy decision for sure. Honestly, I recommend consulting with me one-on-one to do some personalized brainstorming about the bigger picture of how you want your account to grow and develop - who your target audience is and what they need. bit.ly/carriebloggerconsult But yeah, in a nut shell the generic answer I suggest is 5-7 gigs that look good as a set.

Carrie, I've been following your channel for a while now and I have a problem. A client left me a bad review and after that everything fell apart, I tried to make a professional video to promote my gig and things got worse. Fiverr customer service is totally useless, I tried to solve this many times but my gig dropped from 1000 impressions to 20, without modifying any words or metadata of the gig. I am very scared about it, other than that I already have the necessary amount of income to be eligible for top rated seller. It seems totally absurd to me that there are people who do not have a single error in hundreds and hundreds of orders and no cancellation, how can that be possible? I need help

Sounds like you likely had a string of bad internal feedback to go along with the bad public review, and you’ve been dropped by the algorithm as a result. The system inherently prioritizes successful sellers who achieve the best client outcomes.
