I feel like most minimal makeup or no foundation routines are always geared toward 5 minute makeup or running late makeup, but I love spending time to use really small amounts of product to perfect the face. I could spend an hour and still not look like I have much on!

This is a sign sent by the universe!! I also am on a no-foundation phase at the moment. I just lost my job that I loved so much and stopped wearing makeup for a while, only focusing on skincare and it really reset the way I see myself and my skin. I don't hesitate to go outside without foundation and concealer anymore - it is incredibly freeing. For some reason, this - along with fantastic family and friends - gave me some confidence back and I'm now ready to go on a job hunt again. I still wear makeup from time to time, but my base is waaaaaaaayyyy lighter and skincare has become the main focus of my beauty routine. Thank you so much for this great video, Karima! :-D

Funny, I did a similar thing, however I quit my job instead. I haven't gone out in public without atleast mascara for the past 15 years of my life, but I finally learnt the confidence to do that. I wouldn't do it all the time, but, by jove, how exciting is walking out of the house without looking in the mirror?! ;)

Since I don't wear foundation [nothing against it, I just enjoy the creativity (and challenge!) of achieving that glowy base without it), this is a perfect look! If this is your moment, Karima, I'd love it if you could extend this into a series - perhaps showcasing some day/night/work looks all without foundation but still maintaining that completed look? Thanks as always for your hard work and creativity! Lots of love from the UK :)

We need to use the proper amount of SPF if we want to have a real sun protection... It's around 2mg/cm2. Using half the required amount of sunscreen only provides the square root of the SPF and you are under applying it.

I definitely agree that sometimes we get out of hand with coverage. I force myself to take a break from foundation for a few days or so once every month so that when I go back to it I use less and am more happy with my natural skin. Makeup isn't about covering your face, it's about enhancing your natural beauty and it's nice to get back to that every once in a while.
@annrudo6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this video Karima! Since I'm stepping back from heavy make-up and too much skincare atm this came in handy 😊 I'm definitely going to try the concealer-oil-mixture for a very light coverage. I tried to force myself to go out without any make-up on (which is a pretty big thing for me since I have many blemishes and imperfections) and after a few times it felt AMAZING. I felt so free and calmed and I could look in the mirror and not hate myself for my skin texture and blemishes. I can really recommend this to anyone. No one's gonna think you're ugly without make-up, it's only in our own heads. But it's a real confidence boost. More than a full face of make-up on could ever be.. so I send you lots of love from the other side of the world (Germany) Karima, I love your videos 😍 always so well thought out and helpful

Karima, you are the best teacher on YT. The queen is back, we missed you 👑 I love doing this look on myself more and more and I find the one thing that is key to it is some sort of illuminating primer, because when I don't have coverage I find I want extra glow so I don't look flat. I'm between the two camps when it comes to eye makeup. I can't go full-on Jkissa smoky but I do like to wear a fair amount (on days when I left myself time that is, lol). I hope your dermatitis is doing better now.

Karima my girl you NEEEEEED to try the glossier skin tint (and their other products cause they are bomb), this is the epitome of skin perfecting with absolutely no coverage and gives you a beautiful glossy sheen. I think you’d love the stretch concealer as well as it really meshes with the skin, it’s quite sheer and it’s super hydrating like a balmy consistency. I promise you will not be let down by their products. I use shopmate to get them to Aus :) Love love love this look, nothing says fresh and youthful like a no makeup makeup look. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Karima. I am totally inspired by this video. I even convinced my self to not buy any foundations when my bottle is all used up and just focus on skincare + pinpoint concealing. Because come to think of it, why do we need to 'make our makeup looks like skin' when in reality, our skin already looks like skin, right? (But somehow, the giorgio armani luminous silk manages to stay on its spot on my wishlist 😅) Alright, foundations may be used just for special occasions and thats it 😂 By the way Karima, I thought I'd mention that Kiko Milano has 3 types of brow pens! That's right, THREE! I was also shook 😂 Please note that I have tried neither of the three and super interested in it! If anyone's reading this comment and have tried it, please let us know! Love you, Karima 😘
