Great work! Just a quick note. According to the Building Code, two trimmers (each side) are required for the door opening to the sliding glass door, because of the large width. Imagine all of the dynamic force on the door from opening and closing, and then relying on one trimmer on each side to take up all of that slack. What if one of the trimmers cracked? By using two per side, one has a better margin of safety. Also each trimmer is carrying the exterior wall load and roof load. My personal taste (for any opening width 6 ft or greater) is to use a 4" x 6" or 6" x 6" trimmer (each side), depending on the stud wall type. Out at the Construction site, it was common practice for the Foreman to have the Carpenters put in say, 6" x 6" trimmers instead of the minimum two 2" x 6" trimmers (each side).

For easier wood hauling you need one of those garden wagons, but go ahead and get the solid tires. I tried the pneumatic and always had one flat when I needed it. Not that expensive. I got tired of getting a portable 12v pump out every time.

Love the videos! Been watching since y’all started building. You need to buy Julie a wheel barrel that has two wheels on the front end. She’s working hard bring the wood back to the house without turning over. Lol! By the way it’s January 2nd and 70 degrees in South Louisiana. Happy New Year✝️🎆🎉🎊🦐🦀🐊🦞⚜️

For the cold weather for chicken's you could take a piece of plywood and cover up the screen area up top. As well as adding a heating lamp when it gets low as like -11 degrees F.

If you really want to be cheap with the Sawzall blades you can take the little piece that broke off at the end put it on the thicker part with the teeth trace it with a sharpie and then cut it out with a grinder and drill a hole in it done it before but a lot of times it's easier just to get a new blade

It's nice, that You can easily change the plan on the go! 👍 That is better way for perfect house. Our code aren't allowing, even, removing or adding internal wall and in some instances, repainting facade without coordination and paper work too.. Even solid greenhouse needs building permits with plans.. 😂 Excellent video as always! Great to see progress..

For future consideration, look at where a pond, dip in the dirt, or ditch would be beneficial to store and pile some of that snow. Of course a year 'round pond without mosquitos and over flows would be great in concept. A slow, deep, and natural release of water would be great for trees, veggies, and the like; you wouldn't want to create a bed of super weeds though. Likewise, as cold as it is, snow is an excellent insulator. The ideal would preserve the ecosystem you have 'cause it is likely relying on the snow melt; as is your well. Yet with minimal work, passively put more water down into the ground against summer drought; or fill a space for some extra watering.
