Great review, thanks but music not necessary, actually distracting. Perhaps for future reviews you could weigh the empty bag. Weight information is useful when considering travel bags.

do the airlines allow this as a carry on luggage?

You have to check specifically with the airlines regulations. As far as I can guess, this bag would not be allow by low-cost airlines and I'm referring to the European ones. I'm not sure about other continents. Otherwise, it should be fine with major airlines and big airplanes.
