Sometimes I see 3b/4a hair textures and I get reaaally down on myself being a type 4b/c chick. And then I see your tutorials & I’m reminded that our hair texture is beautiful too 🤍🤍🤍 thanks Keke.

If you haven't already, you should search up and suscribe to more 4b/4c natarul-hair chicks on youtube. There are so many with healthy beautiful hair. ❤

Loll Keke, I do this ALL the time. This is my lazy hair style. For me the trick is to sleek when my hair is wet. Works best when freshly washed. Usually though I will add water and conditioner and sleek the hair down, wrapping it does all the work! No buildup and no flakes like with gel, and if needed I’ll refresh during the week and my hair stays totally moisturized! Win win. I LIVE in low buns
@HN-pe6dj4 жыл бұрын
AbigailThinks which conditioner do you use for your low bun? Id like to try this your way without gel. Just fresh washed with some conditioner in hair and just wrap it up till it dries. Will give it a shot soon I hope.

I think you're more of a mix of 4A-4B with an "S" curl, but you've got around 70-80% shrinkage which might remind you of someone who's 4C. Similar to NaturallyPhilo, she's clearly 4A when she wets her hair, but she's got about 90% shrinkage which might make people think she's 4C. But yes, type 4 hair can do anything! I don't like how sticky gels get, so I think I've only done a ponytail with gel twice then went to using leave-ins and/or puddings then tying it down. :D
@jahmaiholland64204 жыл бұрын
Unknown2Yoo agreed, many people think when their hair is kinder than what they’re used to is 4c but the shine and East in her hair to have the curl pop is definitely giving 4a/4b. All are gorgeous but this is definitely giving 4a/b tease

Beautiful!! I've tried a sleek bun with Shea Butter and it was great! It kept the hold for a week and kept the moisture. The only thing with butters is if I sat in sun or under direct heat it would start dripping oil 😂😅. But it wasn't that bad and I do the style a lot. Gel doesn't hold my hair though so I'm always trying substitutes.

Tasheanna W. I didn’t think about using Shea butter. I will take the risk of the oil 😂 I will definitely try that next time!

Great video. I love to see styles without gel since it tends to dry and break my hair. Your focus was on gradual manipulation of the hair - a little mentioned hair styling technique. Thick and/or kinky hair responds best to gentle coercion as opposed to brute force! LOL.

Great video, new subbie here. Do you mind putting all of the products you use in the description box to include the detangling brush? It helps having them in the description box because then the viewer doesn't have to keep rewinding to try to capture the name of the products.

i think it also has to do with your hair length! with longer hair you can more easily gather your hair in a pony/bun and the tension should help sleek your hair. I have short hair so I don't think a low pony would work, but I use this method for little space buns, with a twist out in the back :) hope this helped!
