This is what I was searching for. I got a interest in judo wrestling and bjj as well as mma. All the no gi judo were simple throws that everyone know but never anything intricate like this thanks man

Yes i approve its like a tighter control usually i just use gd hand postioning and a turn to Get it .....mainly works if they attempt a lead leg foot sweep i get my throw especially if he just shoots a double n clinch easy punsh.....i do daito ryu aki stuff n i love the detail u put on da belly grip..... Sad judo guys rely soo much on da jacket couldnt imagine them doin dis by accident the way u did it but greco roman wrestlers u see this at times ....thank you for sharing i will most deff subscribe🔥🔥💯

Thanks for sharing this. Would like to experiment this a bit too. I would call this a variation of tai-otoshi rather than uki-otoshi.

Great video! Can it work against larger opponents?
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49313 жыл бұрын
Definitely, just pull down hard and run it
@marcusdarnell33483 жыл бұрын
Thanks I will definitely drill this lol

Why does the trailing hand go underneath near the hip instead of over the top as one would do with a Cowcatcher in wrestling? Thank you to anyone with more experience who can clarify this for me.
@haffoc3 жыл бұрын
cool. I would have called it sumi otoshi, but what's in a name?
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49313 жыл бұрын
Exactly
@cassiooctaviani4732 жыл бұрын
Traditional uki-otoshi, you off-balance uke to the front; sumi-otoshi, you off-balance him to the rear. This one, to the side, so it really could be either one!

What if your opponent attempts the same throw at the same time? That would be a good video.
@Dreddusa3 жыл бұрын
This one is not very clear, can you please do another video of it? Thanks.
@mattharper12423 жыл бұрын
I thought it couldn't have been clearer. What wasn't clear to you?
@Dreddusa3 жыл бұрын
@@mattharper1242 now that you asked me what wasn't clear, I watched the video one more time and saw that you keep the neck tie, which is important. Thank you.

No Gi Judo is most interesting. Wrist locks might seem a good way to throw an opponent who wears a T-Shirt or no shirt at all...unfortunately, most of times the wrist you have to twist is never where is should be nor it stops a second. 👍

This is Georgian variant
@JIUJITSUMAN223 жыл бұрын
Good, but don't is better grab uke arm instead of his ribs ?
@nickyonezuka-cranfordjkc49313 жыл бұрын
Nope
@TheGamerGameplay1 Жыл бұрын
The Uki Otoshi in Judo actually grabs the arm. He isn't grabbing because grabbing the arm in NoGi is very hard, it slips, so he is more firm with the rib PTBR: O Uki Otoshi no Judo se faz segurando o braço mesmo, porém lutando sem kimono é muito difícil de ter uma pegada firme no braço do Uke (oponente). Então a técnica fica bem mais fácil segurando na costela
