No Hamfest Huntsville !? | What to do?

Yep, a trip over to Huntsville, Alabama and there is no hamfest....in May. We went early this year for a senior requested trip and still had a good time. Here are a few things you can do while in Huntsville with or without a hamfest. See y'all in August at THE HAMFEST!

1. Visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center - Huntsville is known as the "Rocket City" for a reason. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is the largest spaceflight museum in the world and offers a variety of exhibits, simulators, and activities for all ages.
2. Explore Monte Sano State Park - This 2,140-acre park features hiking and biking trails, camping sites, and breathtaking overlooks of the city.
3. Visit the Huntsville Botanical Garden - The garden features beautiful displays of flowers, plants, and trees, as well as art installations and seasonal events.
4. Discover the history of space exploration at the Marshall Space Flight Center - The center offers tours and exhibits that showcase the history and future of NASA's space missions.
5. Enjoy a craft beer at one of Huntsville's breweries - Huntsville is home to a thriving craft beer scene with several local breweries offering unique brews and atmosphere.

Golly. I was in Hunstville all last week as one of my daughters was in Space Camp. My wife took me to Unclaimed Baggage twice! I did find some books and an incredibly affordable Surface Go 3 to replace the incredibly affordable Surface Go I bought there in 2019! :) Thomas (K4SWL)

@@K5YVY And we actually camped on the Rocket Center campus--in their RV park. I must have watched--no kidding--300 model rocket launches! Also visited Gigaparts and walked away with two cables. Big spender! :)

Nice store! The low lighting and dark carpet in my closest HRO makes it look like a dungeon! GigaParts looks great and very inviting! It's amazing that your money doesn't just WANT to come out for a better look. 🤣

It was a good time, there’s lots I left out of the video or forgot to record, plenty of things to do, I imagine it’s quite a population increase third weekend in august, but there’s always something happening. But in august I get to see many of my friends across the country, so that’s definitely a plus.
