Allah did NOT make homosexuality haram. That is also true for pedophilia, necrophilia and a million other things. As people of aqal, He expects us to discuss these matters in our societies and legislate accordingly. The takeaway of the vid is this: Lut's Qom did not do homosexuality. Allah didn't call homosexuality haram. So we should NOT borrow the Biblical tale about what Lut's qom did, nor put words in Allah's mouth. I personally find homosexual acts between men distasteful. I can make a case against it in my society, but can never say that Allah forbade it--because He did not.

I think the biggest challenge for Muslims of all backgrounds is to ask themselves "what do I know and what do I believe?" If something is a fact, has evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, that is a thing you know. If you don't know something then you believe it, because a belief is not certainty. The vast majority of us believe we understand the Qur'an and Islam, very few people know it! We think we know, we read somewhere, didn't so and so say ... That's not knowing. Sorry to quote Yoda here but we must unlearn what we have learned. Then, with an empty cup, so to speak, we let the Qur'an teach us something. Smart and yet, deceptive way to change the word meaning from its place, am also student of Quran only for over 20 years and can see how you changed the word out from its place to altered the original meaning. Small example, you change the word "Nisa", "Rijal" and interpreted those two words - to fit your preferences, without analyzing those words appearances on whole lot other verses. My take on this is simple: the Title is misleading and unfounded. Why? 1- ALLAH condemns sex outside of marriage 2-In Quran, marriage is between man and woman 3- fornication is forbidden Then… 2 individuals who are not considered as married ( i.e. man-man or woman-woman) whatever sexual activity they do is considered sinful! In the same token I would consider bestiality, pedophilia and anything that is practiced outside the realm of legal sexual activity as Haram in the eyes of the Deen. General rules are given in the Quran, it’s our responsibility, honesty and common sense that guide us accordingly. Now having said that having homosexual tendencies and not acting on them is like a tempted fornicator, a potential thief or a potential murderer who isn’t acting on those feelings; no punishment or persecution on them is deserved. If anyone is engaging in acts with members of the same sex then that's outside of the bounds of what Allah has said is lawful, so a sin is being committed because the nikkah is not gonna be accepted since Allah does not greenlight same sex relationships! When God talks about marriage or divorce he always talk about man and woman. Never about the same gender. And two same genders can´t reproduce what is necessary for the society. When it comes to the verses i think there is too much wordgymnastic here. From the pairs we observe since thousands of years, are man and woman. Not homosexuals. The man has been created on the very nature of two different individuals meant for different tasks while they enjoy same status in the sight of God. From vaginas we got delivered and in her lap we rested and from her breast we suckled. How come a total opposite nature can be hold true that same sex marriages are condemned. If its so, give me an example from Quran that God encouraged SS marriages? You are denying the anatomical structures and it's functions on which Man and Woman has been created.

@@AlMosesPhD I've read different interpretations that said that verse refers to prostitution (as it uses the femininine plura) and it says bring them into the houses until God makes for them another way/means. So basically if women in the community are resorting to prostitution to support themselves the muslim community should financially support them (bring them into the houses, off the street) until God makes another way for them to earn a living.

So in verse 55 you changed Rijal to "self sufficient" and Nisa to "those left behind"? you say its how its used in the Quran while everyone knows there is a whole Surah called "Al-Nisa" which talks about concerns of Nisa (Women). And the words are very clear even to a child, A'Innakum (why do you) La-Ta'tuna (Approach), Rijal (Men), Shahwah (lust), Nisa (women). Put together: Why do you Approach men with lust instead of women. if i read: why do you approach the self sufficient with lust instead of those left behind... this doesn't even make sense. Its as clear as night and day but you doctor verses to your liking like those before us did, obscuring the obvious and obviating the obscure. you're doctoring the meanings of verses. Woe to you.

Quran 3:61 let us call our sons and your sons, our Nisa (left behinds) and your Nisa (left behinds).... Make thus make sense to your audience as well. You've cut the whole cloth just to doctor a single verse's meaning. The Quran is speaking sir, 59 times is the word Nisa mentioned in the Quran, even regarding menstruation, do only those left behind menstruate? ​​@@Know1231I don't understand how he's getting these meanings when even looking at non sectarian translations such as Sam Gerran's doesn't even claim Nisa doesn't mean women or rijal not meaning men therefore the verse 27:55 is left much the same as what we have from other translators. God is specific about making a distinction between men and women. The Qur'an has clear verses, God didn't leave any ambiguity and he certainly didn't produce a gender neutral Qur'an. 🤦‍♂️ Brother moses is in serious error.

Why are you dealing with pertinent issues that has no merit in Islam? Islam is a religion of morality and bringing the issues of immortality into Islamic debates is illogical. The Quran is not an encyclopedia of every thing and when you missed certain things in the Quran then don’t bring it for public debates. I remember you talking on wuthu as an item not mentioned in the Quran. Don’t expect every bits included in the Quran. Do you know how our beloved prophet Mohamed ( pbuh) used to prayed since taking withu and format of prayer are not mentioned in the Quran. Muslim used to pray following the practice of physical education as practice by our beloved prophet. Pls pro Moses you are dwelling on pertinent things that has no formal authority. Homosexuality is a unnatural sexual behavior that even animals don’t practice and you want to formalize in our religious authority.
