Hello Matthew. Waterfalls, creeks, one lane bridges, clouds that rest upon the mountains and pines. Things my best dreams are made of. I could almost smell the fresh water vapors in the air. Trout lake was like a Mill Pond....so flat and still. Sweet moment with Stella. You bring tears to my eyes Matthew...but good ones. What a wonderful journey before I retire for this night. When I was a teen, (many years ago) family took trip to Minnesota in May, to visit friends who moved from Florida. West and north of Chicago (after the first Mayor Daley robbed us of so many tolls going past Chicago!) we drove over to the great lake. It was so different standing there, the air coming across the lake. I'd never smelled salt free air before from such a large body of fresh water. Quite the unexpected experience.

Thanks for driving to Trout Lake. I have been beguiled by it for years but never' took the plunge', so to speak, and actually followed it.The lake itself seems pristine and 'brisk, lol Penny was such a hoot: the carrot caper, the jump over the canyon, the Stella food steal. lol " Rain or no rain, it's a beautiful evening, he said as he was washing his garbage to the bin." Next time your in Radium you should try up Horse Thief Creek Rd. Some really beautiful camping spots over looking the valley. Bunch of little lakes and tons of trails.

Off-camera, do you give the cats more outdoor roaming time? I'm certain they won't run away. I was nervous about mine when I took him on his first bike expedition. He walked off about 5 feet and I freaked out hahaha. I just watched him explore and he eventually came back. I even strolled around with him. After a while I was cool with him going out and doing his thing. They seem curious like any other cat about the world outside.
