I had Paul to fit a roof top conversion on my Toyota hz78 last year, amazing quality fantastic person cannot understand why people fit an inferior Alu Cab product. Hope you enjoy your new conversion.

Very cool thanks for sharing this. Interested to see what you find once you start using it. Love the workshop, lots of really great Dutch small businesses start off in a similar way. Overtime is always taxed at the highest tax rate here, so lots of Engineers end up expanding their hobby into a small business.

Job well done madame ✌️ One critic I would have… I think you have the yawning on the wrong side of the car. If you get a 270 degree one, the yawing should be on the driver side, since the door in the back opens the way it does. But hey, that’s just me 👍 Stay safe everybody

Salut David, psp nous a fourni un document avec diverses info et tamponné, puis il faut prendre rdv au bureau des autos pour ajouter le toit relevable sur la carte grise

Wow. So many deicisons to make on layout, type of pop-up roof. Were these options similarly priced? I do love the elevating bed platform with the Icarus. We hope to keep some full height standing space down one side.

We're very happy to have chosen this one and the elevated bed is very useful. PSP work is top-notch. Price can vary a lot depending on options and customization.

It’s too high for shipping in a regular container but we have a suspension lift. Why give a name ?

@@offtrackfamily I understand as I was thinking so thou, I’m stock on the decision of make it same as yours with a lift kit from ARB or go full airbags in the 4 corners and add a pop top conversion, I’m thinking 🤔 as is way cheaper to ship in/out of Australia by using shipping containers, as Europe and USA have way more port facilities for RORO thanks for the info, I call my defender Miura I think you choose make your kids come out with a name for the rig give more character I reckon keep those videos coming please

Mi piacerebbe però sapere perché avete scartato le due opzioni principali offerte da due importanti aziende come Alu Cab ed Ex-Tec / RRconcept. Personalmente monterò tra meno di un mese sul mio Defender il sistema di Ex-Tec, sperando ovviamente sia la scelta giusta (almeno per me). Grazie e comunque complimenti per questo ultimo importante upgrade.

Thanks for your message! The main reason is that we didn't want one who used the original roof. Now that we saw PSP work we're confident it was the best choice for us. I must admit it isn't easy to choose especially with the cost of this type of conversion. Would be great to know how you're happy with yours when it's on :)

I’ve been following your videos and I’m not sure why you think the alu-cab is an inferior product. I’ve had one on my defender for 5 years with 100s of nights enjoyed comfortably inside. It doesn’t rattle, it doesn’t leak, the bed is longer than than yours and the icarus has more standing room. The Icarus doesn’t have hinges exposed to the elements to potentially rust and the bed is lifted and held by struts, not a hook. I’m sure you’re happy with the unit you picked but there’s no point talking poorly about a very good product.

Oh never said it's an inferior product, we cannot do any comparison as we never had the alucab one. It's the most common one to see on this type of conversion and it wasn't what we wanted to have. Great to know you like yours and enjoy it :)

Thanks! Cannot say how this part of our life will be manage with this new setup. Previously we had two separate "rooms" as 1 rtt + 1 interior setup so no worries on that side ;)

Personally I dislike the look of it, function is nice however. I prefer the stock roof looks. I'm sure it will work great for you guys though. It all comes down to personal preference. Good luck with the new setup! Cheers!
