Becareful putting magnets on your domestic sewing machine. I did to my new Singer heavy duty and it messed up the tension. Went through 3 machines before I realized it was the magnet. I use a little command hook to hold my snips. Works just as good.

Thanks for this tip! I've been wanting to add something to my juki for my snips and didn't want to add a magnet. This is a great alternative!

Ah ha! Just dipped into the older videos and found the Lola video from Feb 2019. Lauren says she uses Decovil heavy followed by Decovil light on the base. I knew I could count on you!! Thanks! Now i'll stop stalling and get the thing done!

Didn’t catch it live but was able to watch it along with the chat which was fun and lots of LOL . Also joined Empurrium and the other channel suggested which I’m going go check out now. The bag turned out FABULOUS and the fabric with that beautiful blue vinyl was so pretty.

Hi, missed the live. But very interesting. Gold Star tools has that “New Tech” sewing machine that they’re selling. Walking foot industrial. The guy did a demo of the machine and it seems to have awful tension issues but it’s cheap. Like $899 cheap. Probably not a good idea......

This video sure did make my Lolas very nicer. Please, can you tell me, when you turned your bag, you left the pocket bottom not sewn and the bottom? When you turned it through you then turned your lining back inside out then turned it again and sewed up your pocket, is that right? This way seems so much faster and I like it. I also love the accent piece you did. Thank you for this and hope you answer, I have 12 Lolas sitting on my table and this would be easier if I understood it correctly.

I need some advice, please. .Have all the pieces for a Lola cut out. Looks like you used Decoville (heavy? light?) on the base piece. Is that right? I tried fusing Peltex (trimmed down) on the base using Woven Fuse on a vinyl base (as suggested in the pattern) and it looks puffy. Considering taking both off and starting again with Decoville. I don't want to melt the vinyl!!

Wondering did you leave the bottom open to turn through instead of the usual pocket..fun video
@LaurenMormino3 жыл бұрын
I’ve done it with lots of bags. Makes it easier to turn. Leave the pocket and bottom open. Turn. Pull the lining bottom back through the pocket. And then sew the pocket
