If the original pattern uses 1/2" seam allowance and this binding uses 1/4" shouldn't we add 1" to the gusset length so it fits proper. That is why the corners don't fit, the gusset is just too short when done with 1/4" s/a for binding.

Hi Kassiah, I just watched this for the second time, and it’s fantastic!, I will have to watch again however, when I am confident enough to start, my question for you is about the front pocket, I am completely lost as to what you did? It looks as though your vinyl is black on the back, is that interfacing? I did not see a pocket, rewinding to try and figure out. I won’t be able to figure out unless you give me a hint, pretty please. And how long did you cut your strap? The measurement in the pattern?....I figured it out, it was truly very simple, I have no idea why I wasn’t able to at first, thanks though

For my first (so far) bag, I used the drop-in method. I found this tutorial thanks to a Facebook group and it looks so much easier. Just to be sure I'm getting it, you sew outside/interior pieces together, make the gusset and sew them to the gusset. Then use bias binding or fold-over elastic to cover the raw edges. And you're done..is it really that simple??

Hi: The video seems great, but I'm wishing you had mentioned where on the Noodlehead pattern you started and if there were earlier steps that you skipped or did differently. I'm thinking your video starts about half way through page 10 of the pattern, but when you held up your top gusset piece, there's already a major difference. Your gusset is in two pieces -- top and bottom and both are already lined. Mine is in two pieces--exterior and interior. Also, because I didn't intend to hand-sew my lining in place, I already top stitched around my zipper on my top gusset. Now I'm thinking that's wrong, but the pattern nor the video really address that... I'm confused (obviously). Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

Could you use double fold elastic to bind the seams? Also, I’m worried that the 1/2 in bias tape won’t wrap around the area where my strap connectors are. Is 5/8 in or 1 in way too big??

You just made a big circle with the exterior and lining pieces together, so you can attatch and bind to your front and back
