I’m glad you put something on the back of the Pendleton wool. I’ve used it for pockets on waxed canvas bag and over time the Pendleton will stretch a bit and sag. Not a ton but it will sag

no there is no right or wrong side to waxed canvas. waxed twill however DOES have a right and wrong side.
