I'm behind, so I just today listened to this on my podcatcher, and although I have already subscribed on KZbin, I wanted to come leave a comment. I appreciate your transparency and support you in your quest! I also agree 100% on the loyalty thing at the end. I was fortunate to have 34 years teaching at one college (which still amazes me), and I have to say they were quite supportive of me, demonstrating the kind of loyalty that is absent in most places. You certainly can't count on that. I would suggest thinking of your employer as your primary client-that helps you give full measure in your work, but anyone in business knows you don't want to depend on one client. Diversify. The whole W2 vs. 1099 distinction is artificial, designed to keep us trapped. Don't fall for it! Have your W2 income, fine, but you are ALWAYS self-employed, no matter how the IRS classifies you. Your take on these things was one reason among many I was happy to have you on my own podcast. Thank you!

Slowly catching up with the episodes. I’m just letting them play randomly. It already feels like a personal conversation.
