No Man's Sky 4.0 Experimental Patch 12/10 - Finally, Some Good News ?!?

After The No Man's Sky 4.0 Update Got Massive Critique, It Seem That Hello Games Finally Listened To All The Complains, And Tried To Make A Manse.
Personally, I'm Not Sure If That Rift Will Ever Be Fixable, Taking Into Account The Whole Toxic Hate, We've Got From The Blindsided Supporters And One Of The Biggest NMS KZbinrs (I'll Get To That In A Later Video). It All Remains To Be Seen, If That Rift Can Be Fixed.

Probably not, HG has forgotten the lesson supposedly learned from the "great reset", this olive branch of 10 free slots in tech equates to zilch, as I, as well as everyone else, paid for 24 slots in the general section of exosuit, think about your starship, the lower the tier, the fewer slots came with it. It was a fun ride, but looks like it's over. Actually wishing fewer "gimme gimme gimme " people played this as they will never know what accomplishment is or its joy.

Probably. I decided to take a break from NMS for a bit and have some fun elsewhere. It's likely I'll play again but wanted the dust up to settle out a bit. I'm keeping updated with DDG! Thanks again.

If all the time and effort I spent on understanding adjacency bonus and putting it in my exosuit was a waste of time, then by the same logic NMS has become a waste of time, it's my time, not HG's.

Reddit has been a battlefield lol. A lot of those bigger channels have created so many trolls it's not going to be pleasant later down the road. Great video buddy maybe it will be safe to come back to NMS haha. Well until Gotham Knights and COD MW2 anyways. I'm still playing on 3.99 I haven't touched NMS since 4.0 released. I was like I think this is a good break time until everything blows over

To me the good news came the moment the update did, which from day one was fantastic. Of course, issues and bugs needed ironing out and some re-balancing was needed too; which I had 100% certainty that Hello Games would do. But it seems a lot of people had no faith at all. It hasn't been out a week and already bugs and a issues are been addressed, and all the Karrens have the audacity to proclaim that "Hello Games are listening"; like they would never have listened without your footstamping?

so why do we need a lock-out button? can't they just make a relaxed mode, like survival and permadeath or creative? why even come up with a relaxed mode in the first place??? did anyone even have a problem playing survival? It's just smoke and mirrors.

Well the catalogue is still broken. All the upgrades for my Frieghter I have unlocked are still marked as '???' Had some improvements on manoeuvrability but it's still nowhere near what I once had.

1:05 - Does this mean exotic ships will receive bonuses to all three (damage, shield, range)? It's what I always liked about my little royal exotic: It may not be top dog in any category, but it is right up there, and in all three categories: a nice balance.

Im happy they are making an effort fix some of it but time will tell if it really evens out for me I lost almost 30k dps on my fighter as well as 265 points In maneuverability and over 200 points in shields. It took hundreds of hours for me playing primarily offline solo knowing nothing about duping to max out the stats on that fighter and it realy broke my heart to see my favorite toy so badly broken after l the work I put in to building it up to the God tear fighter it was. I kinda hate the scroll bars also I liked the tabs It helped me keep things organized now it all just seems more clutered and having to have the technology slots that I wouldn't ordinarily have to look at ever now stuck taking up half my screen is extremely annoying. I'll keep playing but for now I'm still upset. I think the only thing I'm really excited for with this update is the trade rocket.

I am pleased with the stats bonuses being higher for certain types of ships. Fighters should have better weapons, maneuverability, explorers should have longer hyperdrive range, less pulse/launch fuel costs, haulers should have the best shields, exotics should be 80% of all the above, and shuttles should just .... well you can fill in the blank. Thx for the update.

He's a baby, that complains about nothing. There's like 10 people mad about the update. If it's dead, he should stop playing. But he keeps pissing everyone off and early naming the planets every weekend.

I'm just over here like.. monthly rotating expeditions, plz? Or put all previously exclusive expedition rewards up for quicksilver? And how about a low-yield repeating quest with a randomized activity so people can actually grind out qs and not have an outdated 'log in to do dailies' game design? I mean, if I was a game dev, that's what I'd focus on. The inventory thing seemed kinda pointless to me because the very idea of balance in this game is laughable, especially since you can change the difficulties on the fly now.

I liked it already, i think theyve watered it down to please the whiners who cried before they gave it a chance and played it That said, we all like different aspects of the game, some people like east mdoe and cheating, others like difficulty and challenge, and this game needs way more difficulty and challenge Now when i play with a self-imposed 1 Upgrade only per tech, its going to be twice as easy as it used to be long before the patch, because people cried about their 6 upgrades So now the game is half as challenging as it used to be, this will almost certainly drive me to play less and look for other games sooner I would rather they gave you all 6 again, than doubled the stats, this would allow me to still have the minimum But thats just me, and i wouldnt have posted this except for the fact that DDG asked for our opinions

these are some great news! finally i'm no longer tempted to enable cheats on the fly. that's the big one for me. as far as ship upgrade specialties go, i'd prefer to be able to install more firepower on a fighter, warp on an explorer, etc. instead of what they are going for now, but it's an improvement nevertheless. a step in the right direction, but still a long way to go inventory scrolling still needs to be adressed, it's horrendous . the best option imo would be to go back to tabs. oh and we still havent figured out why they gave us tons of slots for multitools without new tech to install . . . pointless(?) at least for now, same for ships and exosuit

I completely agree with you, having the option of having cheats on the fly was a really bad idea, however, it still should be limited to the relaxed mode (which is creative basically).regarding the ships tech, i completely agree with you. It's a step in the right direction.

Yes, my guess is that the new experimental update on steam is certainly moving the game towards what it used to be, upping stats on modules will hopefully fix things towards what we've had before.

im in all belief that HG is cash grabbing and fair play to them let me give you reasons 1 they have a new secret project 2 they have had nms on gampass for over a year now microsoft have paid them a chunk of cash 3 Nintendo/switch release big cash flow 4 merch store been around a good while as we all know but anyone who pays them prices for a deck of cards or a mug is mug! know one can keep something going for free i hate the fact they never released a paid DLC but in all honesty if i had paid for some of these updates over the past 2 years i would have let them go and moved on like have sort of this 4.0 was all aimed at streamlining nothing big to shout about although the update brought them so much hate i just hope that what ever comes next from HG is something BIGGER and better than what we are playing right now hope they learn 4.0 for me its my opinion im allowed is a 4.0 out of 10 pun intended! rant over agree or dissagree i am at the point that not all change is a good change its the past 12months for me has gone from playing many many hrs a week to 2-3 if i can be bothered

So being able to switch settings in your game mode is cheating, but doubling up on technology upgrades isn't?? Your're going to have to explain your double standard meaning here... The settings are just an option, set what you want, and leave it alone. The tech upgrades... that is just a loop hole cheat, personally I am glad they got rid of it. The new layout is better anyway.

Options in the menu that allow you to turn threats off and purchase items for free on the fly, is essentially a console command cheat menu. Period. Losing upgrades you spent countless hours grinding for, which we had also gave up extra inventory space in a trade off for the extra bonuses, because "reasons", is plenty cause for people to be pissed. It's like grinding an rpg character to level 99, and suddenly the game developer decides to set you back to level 50 for no good reason. It's a slap in the face to the players time.

I'm kind-of confused about it too. I think there is some muddled thinking going on. So a menu where someone can make the game easier is bad, but installing so many tech upgrades that it's basically god mode is so important people are leaving over it? 😂

I really have a hard time understanding how so many people have thousands of hours in this game. Once you've reached a certain amount of money and nanites you soon realise that it is quite shallow. No point visiting other star systems as its the same generated planets. Same generated animals, same spaceships, same everything. In fact, I would go as far as saying that there is no need to leave Euclid as there is absolutely nothing different in the remaining Galaxies.

This is just a massive distraction. You should read the comments under the "big" channels. It makes me vomit. Again toxic positivity. This does not change the fact that people got hundreds of hours of work stolen from them. This is like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole. From a 50. cal. It's absolutely ridiculous. I am really done with the game and the community. I am the costumer and I have paid full price. I am entitled to play the game the way I want it to and for people who like min maxing this is a slap in the face. The people who aren't effected by this and having this as their main argument is insane. The state of north Korea doesn't effect you personally either but it's still a major issue. A lot of people got left behind now and really nobody cares. It's sad that one of my favorite games will end on my uninstall list now. Sad.

Well, i don't watch the big channels... most of them are just fake hype and the only concerns they have is about ad revenue... Guess what, i don't care abut that and one of the 'biggest NMS KZbinrs, calling us toxic.... well he's just concerned about his ad revenue... Taking advantage of the new switch players... It takes me like 10 hours to min max a single ship. Incredible boring stuff. But that is the way I chose to play. Why is my opinion worth so little? I'm at 5500 hours on Steam, GoG i guess 1500+... anyways, i still fully intend to release that video explaining why the biggest nms youtubers thought it was a goo idea to publish those 'support videos' , although Survivalbob got it in the end why we where so upset... he's going to be the exception.
