The best star systems are NOT 3 star systems; the best systems are PIRATE systems. The difference is 3 star will get you a 1-2% chance of an S class, a Pirate system will get you a huge 5% chance. That's more than double of a 3 star system; potentially saving you hours of farming

Hi Sory my English but i got a question about how these 3 hours timer work ? dose it count only in beginning and only 1 time? or i have to wait 3 hours after each pirate battel and 5 warps jumps? i have played like 20 + hours and i hade 3 pirate battel so far i been doing side missions in between so i forget to time the clock. i did get an s class freighter that look like Venator but it was not and it only got 2 pods each side 4 in total but it did hade 20 tech and 34 storage and it look really small compare to Venator i seen on youtubes. so im not happy with that and i want bigger ship so i wonder if i can warp 5 time back to back after i have played more then 20 hours thanks

@@rinkumultani6515 Hey, Brother! You only need to play the game for 3 hours total to trigger a freighter battle. Since you've already had a freighter battle, all you have to do is warp 5 more times to trigger another one. Just remember to stop at the space station on your 4th hyperspace jump to create a manual restore point so that if your 5th hyperspace jump doesn't yield the type of freighter you want, you can reload your restore point and jump to a different star system until you find the style of freighter you want. On your 5th jump, if you find your favorite freighter type, before engaging in the freighter battle, go to the space station and create another manual restore point. This will allow you to reload your manual restore point in the star system with the style of freighter you want until you get the class of freighter you want. Lastly, try to find an outlaw star system on your 5th hyperspace jump. This will increase your chances of finding an S class freighter. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching my video, and good luck!

So last night I did play for 4 hours or more then I jumped 5 times but battle did not show up got tropy that I have warped 20times. so did many reloads and did more side missions after reload so it was way more then 4 hours still did not show any firefighter battle on my 20th warp. But anyway il play today 3 hours or more and try again

Are you sure about pirate systems having 5% S Class chance ? im finding nothing but C class, i used to heard that B and A class are non existant in Pirate Systems, but in return you get a higher S class chance ... is it true ?

UPDATE - If you happen to find the type of freighter that you want, then you can create a manual restore point in the system where the freighter is located (the target system). You will be locked into that freighter type, but you don't need to warp back to the target system after reloading. You can ignore the pirates at the freighter rescue mission by flying into the space station and creating a manual restore point. Next, land on the freighter (All of the pirates will disappear) and check it's class. If it's not the class you want, simply reload your manual save and rinse and repeat until you get your "S" Class. Also, outlaw systems are the best for hunting "S" Class freighters giving you a 5% chance of discovery instead of the usual 2% chance with 3-star economy systems. Hope this helps.😎

being a little nit picky, i love how this update has made this style more popular. Due to the stupid placement of antenna right in front of thehangar door, this one was always "less" wanted imo on reddit/boards than the star destroyer style capital. personally i don't care, i usually just grab the first capital that comes up as long as it's A or S class....

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who "settled" on a seven cargo bay A Class Dreadnought. It would be nice to be able to level it UP TO an S Class somehow but, I'll be fine with the one I got. Not that I won't grab a better one when I get another opportunity. lol Great content and presentation!

I jumped at the opportunity to claim this large "A" Class sentinel dreadnaught, especially since depending on the star system you warp to, you could end up with one of the ugly system freighters. Hopefully, Hello Games will give us the option to upgrade freighter classes in a future update, perhaps with legit capital ship battles (we can only hope). Hey, thanks for watching, Brother! Also, I added an update in the pinned comment section that can make finding your "S" class freighter even easier. For example, if you find the type of freighter that you want (in my case, I wanted the large Sentinel Dreadnaught), then you can create a manual restore point in that star system. Doing so will lock you into that freighter type, but you can reload your manual restore point until you find the class of freighter you want. Hope this helps!😎

They should really make it expensive and a quest line to upgrade your frieghter, like you have to put it in space dock and supply all sorts of goods.. but if you go that route the upgraded verssion is better than a found one.

Hey, Brother! I agree 100%. Since we finally have limited capital ship battles in the game, HG might add the ability to upgrade freighter classes in the future. I'd like to send my fleet up against a sentinel fleet and if you lose a capital ship, you have to pay to replace them, but if you win, you can capture their ships. We can only hope. @@OddManGaming So, I wasn't prepared. I thought I had only visited 4. So I came into the system in the dogfight and hadn't put down a hard save. Destroyed the pirates. Hey, Brother! You could check the discoveries tab, but I'm not sure if that would work. Normally, I would simply create a manual restore point at every system I visit just in case I forget how many jumps I've done. If Hello games would remove the masts from in front of the launch bays I would be a happy camper. The big boy sentinel freighter in S class are a dime a dozen. If not for those unfortunately placed masts it would be a keeper.

Haven't gotten far enough into the game to get a freighter, why would I need/want one? I assume it won't become my 'daily driver'. Only two minutes into your video, but it looks like a good one!

I'm no expert, but have been playing since release. The three reasons I want a freighter are: 1. it's also a base so you can setup storage there and drag it to any system you want to visit 2. extra starships you purchase/find/earn dock there, so you see your personal garage and switch ships 3. once you have one you can recruit a squad of fighters who will defend you and your freighter from pirates Once the technology is upgraded on one it also provides long range warp, but I (personally) don't use that aspect of it much. Short answers, there's more detail to it, but that's my top reasons :)

Hey, Brother! 1. A freighter can serve as a mobile base that (provided you have sufficient hyperspace jump range) you can call to your location anywhere in the galaxy. 2. Anything you can do on a planet-side base can be done on a freighter as long as you build the proper rooms for it. 3. Freighters add significantly more storage space to your character. 4. Freighters give you immediate access to 9 of your 12 ships without the need to call them to your location. 5. Freighters serve as a base for our fighter squadron (if you've hired them) and a command ship for your battle group. 6. Freighters just look cool AF! 7. Also: Make sure you have a decently upgraded hyperdrive. Nothing worse than jumping that 5th time to every star in reach and they're all crap because you can only go a couple hundred ly... personal experience here.

A little addition, the first time you get the spacebattle to save the freighter, it is always a systemclass freighter with a limited size. Decline and work to the 2nd battle. That will be a capital ship (either the flat one, or the dreadnought one). Not confirmed due to recent update: if you accept payment, you wil not get another 'save the freighter'mission. Just exit the menu and move on. Another tip: to look for a 3-star system, also check what race occupies it. For example, Look for a Gek system if you want a Gek captain. Each system wil have its own style, so if you don't like the one you find: try a different system. Also, be aware that you do not need another save-the-freighter mission to find another freighter. Look for incomming freighters in a system, some have a little white ship icon, indicating you cna land there. You can also buy them, if you want. Not confirmed if you can get a capital ship that way. And, you will create a manual savepoint when you land on a freighter and get out of your ship. Yours, or a random one. The only time you will not create such savepoint is during the mission itself.

OK so quick question, when you say 3 hours does that mean 3 hours in on session or 3 total hours on your hours played? ie if I have 20 or 30 or 500 hours on a save can i just warp 4 times, pop a save and call it a day or do i have to sit down and play for 3 hours at once then start warping?

Hey, Brother! You need to have at least 3 hours of total game play on the save, not the session. From there, you'll need to warp 4 times, create a manual restore point, then warp to the 5th system. If you're looking for an "S" class, then search for an outlaw system on your 5th warp. This will increase your chances significantly. Hope this helps. Good luck and thanks for watching the video!😎

Hey, Brother! Thanks for watching! After reloading your restore point, are you returning to the same star system on your fifth warp jump? The Echoes update may have randomized freighter spawning, but you shouldn't need to redo the whole process over again. I recommend that if (after reloading and warping to your fifth system) you find a freighter style that you like, make a new restore point in that system and reload until you get the S-Class that you want. So I don’t know if there has been an update that changes pirate controlled systems odds but I can’t get anything better than a C class in pirate controlled systems. And I have been trying for 5+ hours now in a 3 star system that has the style of ship I want and the best I can get is an A class ship. I am about to take the next A class I run across and trade it for an S class if I can ever find one.

Hey! Thanks for watching! You did everything correctly. The Echoes Update made no changes to the spawn rates of freighters that I'm aware of. It can take hours of reloading restore points and warping to the system with the style of freighter that you want before an S-Class appears. While recording my tutorial, I found and accepted that A-Class and didn't want to wait for another class or style of ship.

@@OddManGaming Well after 9 hours I just took that A class and continued my hunt for a decent looking Sentinel Interceptor and I think this game just hates me on PS5 because all I get are non S class freighters and orange Sentinel Interceptors but one day I will find it along with a great planet for a base and the other stuff in the game. That or I am going back to my PC play through but then the wife can’t watch as easily and she loves to watch and see all the colorful new stuff I find.

Hey, Brother! No. It doesn't matter since each system has a specific type of freighter assigned to it. I got lucky when I found my large sentinel freighter (they come in three sizes) in an "A" Class configuration. If you're looking for a sentinel freighter, and you have at least 3 hours of playtime on your save and warped to 4 different systems, create a manual restore point in your 4th system because your 5th warp will be the freighter rescue mission. If you don't find the freighter that you want in the 5th system (freighter rescue mission), then simply reload your manual restore point and travel to a different system until you find the freighter type that you want. Rinse and repeat. Also, if you find the sentinel freighter that you want but it's the wrong class, create a manual restore point (land on the space station and get in and out of your starship) in that star system. This WILL lock you into that type of freighter, but simply reload the manual restore point and exit the space station. You should see the freighter at this point. Land on the freighter and scan the deck to check its class. Hope this helps. Good luck and thanks for watching the video.😎
