No Mans Sky what a game... It is a very infamous game which released with much uproar back in 2016. Now just over 3 years on we return to the game following its largest update yet to take a look into the brand new multiplayer and see if we can cheese the system with a few cheeky item duplication exploits to crash the galactic economy and grant The Spiffing Brit unlimited money via a fantastic money glitch / money exploit!
Multiplayer Games have always benefited from a light dabble in exploits and glitches to provide players with the ability to cheese other aspects of the game. So today The Spiffing Brit will discover if No Mans Sky Is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits or if the unlimited money glitch could perhaps imbalance the game.
This video is going to be packed with funny clips in a montage style of british humor!
If you enjoyed this then check out my other 100 stat man and perfectly balanced game series videos!
It is also rather similar to Robbaz , Valefisk and RT Game in style of content!
So sit back relax and enjoy this No Man's Sky exploit!

I know the launch of NMS was horrible, but to be fair, Sean Murray has kept his word about delivering the game he promised. Did he overpromise, and underdeliver at launch? Yes. Did he lie at times? Yes, albeit SOME of the lies weren’t intentional. They were a small team of 3 people to start out with, and now they’ve grown to 25 people (last I had checked). Much less than the industry standard of a team with 200ish people on it. The team could have taken the money and ran. The team could have introduced micro transactions (Looking at you, EA, Ubisoft, Activision, and Bethesda). But instead, they released all their content for free. They released VR, that is actually well done, on PC for free instead of making you pay for the game twice. Unlike Bethesda (Where some people have paid for several copies of the game. Then they bought a lackluster VR version where Bethesda basically just remapped controls and called it a day). In the end, your opinion is your opinion. But in my opinion (with the exception of the dumpster fire that was the launch), they’ve done things right. Internet Historian does a really good job of explaining both sides.

yeah.. ive just found this vid, and considering i got over 50 hours in nms on launch week... hello games really were respectable with how they dealt with what happened, they shut comms so they couldnt say anything more and fixed their issues, and have since been doing quite well
@codyjilleo9487
@codyjilleo9487 4 жыл бұрын
Charr Churl I see what you’re saying, but it was a small team of ~15 people that bit off more than they could chew and made the mistake of sending a developer to be the marketing guy as well. Things happen. They didn’t charge for any DLC, they didn’t charge for VR, they didn’t add micro transactions, they didn’t take the money, ditch the game, and run. They delivered on what was promised, albeit late, which is better than some games can say. (Anthem, Fallout 76, Mass Effect: Andromeda, The division, Destiny 2 to name a few.) Video game industry has slowly been going to crap for AAA titles. At least Hello Games decided to fix their screwups and not try to fix it with pay-to-win mechanics. Better late than never.

@Charr Churl I consider it more of an investment, the game had a shitton of promise even if they oversold it, and I could tell they had major plans if they were given more time. Bought the game while it was a little over $1 and I'd buy it again full price cause it's that good now. And also I hope they dont make this game an MMO and I'm very happy they didnt follow through with that idea originally. Fallout 76 didnt learn its lesson, imagine if NMS tried it

At first I thought spiff was just a normal person that just showcase exploits and glitches, but the more I watch him the more I realise that spiff is not just good at showcasing it, but also finding it. This man is a professional on finding exploits in a lot of games. Now in order to find exploits, you can find it by accident, or learning the game mechanics (it's not easy). Now I'm not completely sure that all of the exploits he showcased are completely from him and not from other sources. But he is damn good at showcasing and finding glitches, bugs, and exploits to entertain viewers and also helping the developers to fix their game.

I hated this game a few years ago but I really enjoy it now, although my favourite part is the fact I (and many other players) have accidently skipped the grind of technology because simply owning a personal inventory refinery has a chance of spawning 4k nanites in the output and a shit tonne of salvaged tech in the input. - the game is still in need of patches Anyone interested in returning to the game I would recommend it because the campaign is significantly better, there used to be only the atlas campaign which was tedious and anticlimactic, inventory stacks have significantly increased and most of the people who are salty at the game paid for it full price and had expectations too high for an indie dev studio with

I absolutly agree with you, the game has tons of glitches, but I don't think it's a thing that people should criticize when the game is made by, as you said, an indie company, like common every game has glitches. I do really enjoy playing the game and I don't mind the "repetitive" aspect of the game, even though I can understand people not enjoying that, it doesn't mean it's a bad game. _Also I just realised this entire channel is about glitches in games, make more sense as of why he uses glitches to show the game's weaknesses, fair enough it's a really glitchy game_

@Farhan Rahman Nah it still has issues with being extremely shallow. There's a lot to do but it's all the same--other than completing the (easier-now-than-at-launch) main quest lines, and the handful of major side-quests, you can do and see everything there is to see within a single region of stars. There are billions of regions in each of the 255 galaxies, but none of them add anything worth seeking out. I still got a good ~100 hours out of it, and I'll probably continue to poke at it more here and there, but at the end of the day I wish I'd just played Starbound instead. That game has a similiar problem with a similar cause, but it can at least be modded. And the planets have way more "depth", literally.

So a little PSA for console players, the dup glitch with items and friends (as shown at 4:36) no longer works as of September 4th, 2019. PC users may work still, but so far it doesn’t work for Xbox One, and Playstation is probably no different. In this situation, when transferring an item from anywhere to a friend, it saves the game on transfer.

@@Underpantswher But it isn't a good game. You have different ship classes and weapon types, but there is nothing in the game that requires those different classes or weapon types. One ship class and weapon type can do everything the others can. There is no point in gathering units as there is nothing to be bought with those credits. You can buy a freighter but it only serves as a storage space, something every other game on the planet gives you for free. You can collect ships but your collection serves no purpose. Your entire game is collecting bits of things, looking at similar planets with similar creatures, selling those things, upgrading your kit, and then doing it all again. That is phone ap tier gaming. This meaninglessness can be found in every aspect of the game. No meaningful combat, enemies, threats, or exploration out there, no narrative or story, nothing to strive towards except units. You gather things in a pastel universe simply because you can. Everything you claim is added to improve the game was added long after the creation, making it all extraneous. Remove any of it, and it makes no difference. Eternally boring and pointless.

@@BeegtymeRawkstah just because you dont like it doesnt mean it's a bad game. The way you put it makes it sound bad, but theres so much more you can do. The game is whatever you make of it. You can be a pirate and steal from freighters and other pilots, you can be a salvager and find crashed ships to scrap, you can build magnificent bases and share them with other players, and probably the most common is collecting cool and unique ships. Theres even an entire subreddit dedicated to sharing locations of ships or other cool things. So yeah, it's a good game, regardless of what you think.

NMS is the best example for why, on occasion, the dev team needs to tie up, gag, and lock the marketing division in a closet for 6 to 8 months while they work. Sure, without Murray hyping the game 10x more than it deserved it probably would have been mostly ignored, but there still would be a small dedicated fanbase. I mean, look at Stsr Citizen. Now that I have played the game, I will have to disagree with you in the "nothing to do" part. There is in fact a story to follow in nms now. You should try giving it a chance and follow the prompt in the bottom right corner and progress with the story. Also, the dialogue system in this games is quite unique in that you start off not knowing any if the alien languages and you can learn their languages slowly by speaking to all the different aliens. So far, I have not came across any game that does this, and it is a breath of fresh air for me.

Final Fantasy did it a similar way to NMS as far as I can tell. Instead of finding people to teach you words you find... an item, a book thing (I can't remember what they're called) that teaches you "J=F" for example and you slowly figure out what the Al bhed (sp?) Are saying to you

murasaki rin the vast majority of ppl that play NMS nowadays are actually huge pro NMS, because... honestly I don’t know why. It’s still not good enough that was promised and then you tell NMS players this fact most of them will gonna whataboutism the shit out of you, because you don’t like how the game doesn’t really evolved itself into something better, but into something less that was promised. Then they „blame“ pr or Sony, but Sean Murray himself fucked it up. And they could only update the game, because millions got screwed over in the first place... no achievement to me that they „fixed“ that since Sean Murray’s career would be dead by now. The game updates doesnt even features everything they wanted NMS to be... or at least the features you can see and play with are huge downgraded to what we got promised. Either way, I’m very happy that I didn’t bought NMS... and i would never do ( i Got for free tho ), played it. Tested every update. Still disappointed and I really tried to be positive.

I just enjoy games that call for exploration and almost pointless resource gathering. Pretty much just wasting my time on a game almost purly for the graphics. I heard nothing about what was promised before playing the game, so I went in with no preconceptions. Again when I find myself with nothing else to do I play it for the exploring and collecting of stuff. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I have nothing against anyone for that.

Sad thing is there is an even easier solo exploit involving trading a ship for another one then going back to your previous ship you just used to trade and you can just "negotiate" and claim ship is available. So you basically trade ships with a NPC and then steal your own ship back.

This expolit works ridiculously easy... How did they not think about players abusing their akward save system by merely reverting their ship back in time?Combined with local savegames not being overwritten by server data, this would a nightmare for an in-game economy. Also the broken overheat mechanic is sick! :)

nah they changed program the game runs on, so now older graphics cards older then a certain number of years literally can't run it (note its not how good the card is, you physically can't run the game if its older then a certain number of years due to it not supporting the new program) i'm sorta in the same boat, though mine is new enough, it requires me (if i'm understanding it right) to install the new one and uninstall the old one... which makes no mans sky work, but literally every other game i own not work... so... that's not happening...

In all honesty, neither Sean Murray or the game deserves such spite at this point, the game has been updated to a point where I think it's better than many AAA titles. You are judging it as if they released a mess and just took the money and ran, whilst in reality they have worked tirelessly since the release to uphold their promises. Yes, Sean Murray talked out of his ass during the promotion of No Mans Sky, he dreamed big and didn't do enough to convey the real state of the game to the consumers, a shitty thing to do for sure. But after having released several large updates that fixed most of the prominent faults with the game alongside expanding the scope of the game, I genuinely feel that Sean Murray and the devs have earned a bit of respect. Honestly, I'd call it one of the best comebacks in gaming history from a development standpoint, no other developer in the history of gaming has ever released a shit product and then worked so adamantly to make it every bit of the game that he first lead people to believe it was. If you just want to be snarky and bash a game for what it was years ago, go ahead, but honestly I think you are being more of a dick in this video than in all your other ones.

Theres also a trick to get mass units by being able to claim the same abandoned ship over and over, trade it, then scrap the ships you trade for. You fix the two parts on a broke abandoned ship, fly it to the station, trade it to someone for a ship that has to be equal or lesser than yours. The trade has to be even up. Then you scrap that ship you just got, and the abandoned ship will be still there "abandoned" and able to claim again. Claim it and sell it to the next ship and repeat. The only bad thing that happens sometimes is new ships take really long to fly in after another at the station.

Selling to Trading Post makes next selling far far less money, unless you sell to NPC, the same NPCs that offer ships. Selling to them doesn't crash economy. Building Landing Pad in system that has alive station is, even can make those NPCs land in your base. Also there is another exploit similar to carbon duplication, if you have no friends. Build Medium or Large refinery in your base. Go to station and buy any ship upgrade module for nanites, install and immediately deconstruct it (with middle mouse) to get some Cadmium. Place Cadmium in the Refinery and make some Chromatic Metal, but DONT USE UP all of Cadmium. Move that Chromatic metal to second slot beneath the Cadium, to refine more Cadmium you had before it. Another one is getting advantage of crashed economy, but you need some starting capital and big storage. Go to station and buyout all Wiring Looms. Go to station in another system and sell all your Looms in single transaction. Close terminal, open again. Price to buy Looms should be much lower. Buy all, jump, sell all, buy all, repeat. Glitchless money making can be done finding Activated Indium hotspot with your Survey Device...But it can be tedious. Unless other player found the source first, made a base and uploaded it, so you can access it from Space Anomaly and access the mining devices by yourself. Activated Indium sells 1mil per 1k, and those mining units can mine hundred thousands per hour.
