Nice guide for all of us new to the game. The ships do feel a bit samey though. I'd like to see a bit more specialization from them. Explorers could maybe scan like the freighter does or make it easier to find crashed ships and planetary locations. The Haulers should be able to store even more cargo and maybe get a bonus to trading. Fighter obviously get more damage. Etc. The only problem is what to do with shuttles 😂 Maybe make them low/no cost on things like pulse drive and launchers.

shuttles have less launch cost than others, so less launch thruster refueling needed

they should add ships for multiple people, like, two people controling some turrets on the ship, and one pilot, maybe less passengers or more (1-10 would be the least and max) ships with 10 people inside would be huge but slow and would cost a TON of money and would use a lot of resources.

Great info, however, I would like to bring up that yes S-Class will always be one of the best for upgrades, X-Class upgrades can be better than S-Class upgrades but on occasions can be worse than C-Class upgrades. So if you're willing to grind you can get Perfect X-Class upgrades which can make even a shuttle as strong as most other types of ship decked out in S-Class upgrades. Just thought I'd bring that up. Also on a side note, how did you get your fighters damage potential that high?

ever since I did the Leviathon Redux, I've had all sorts of exotics showing up. Its now and then but it seems like there are two or three different ones spawning in the same system. FYI. Good presentation! Thanks!

@@RiceysStarshipEmporium I watched a Captain Beefy live stream last night. He was perched up high on a Giant Archive building. WE sat and watched several exotics come in and land. Not all the same model. No relaods. Recent game updates appear to have changed the stats and have affected ship hunting practices.

Or. I just thought of this. Take one out of the pool by buying it or recruiting it and a new one spawns. You could see two that way. Yours and the new one. I'm taliking about two that were not mine. I bought one, recruited one, then bought a third one that came in on the next wave. All had small differences all were in the same station. But that doesn't explain why there were more than one in the system. Oh, I play exclusively on single player but others playing multiplayer could be seeing more because the extras belong to fellow travelers. Althogh I play on single player and have multi player turned off there are some indications that the servers are confused at times. Also doing a Nexus mission will dump you into a multiplayer mode for the duration of the mission. Perhaps not a full featured mode but other player bases show up and systems I've never been to show up during and after I complete the mission. I just thought the servers are bugged. You did a good guide and I wondered if you found your stats in the game coding versus actual experience and trading info with long time players. And I am in no way judging your work. Just adding to your knowledge on the topic hopefully! Sharing what I've seen!

My memory is expected for a burnt out old 67 year old jet fighter mechanic! I removed three exotics from the pool sequentially. So each replacement must have spawned immediately. And maybe what I saw on the live stream was as I speculated other players flying exotics dropping in unannounced. Can't cover every possibility in a guide like yours! You put a good guide together.

@@michaelbrooks7214 interesting, I may have to look into that. An exchanged exotic will come back in so you could buy it back. But normally there should be only 1 type in a system.

Hi, each thing in the game has a seed, a long hexadecimal number that the game engine decodes, it describes the configuration of the ship. All the parts, colours and stats etc.

Fantastic video! One question, can you tell if they are T1, 2 or 3 looking at the ship or is there no marker for it?

Thanks. No there's no marker, but you can normally tell by the number of slots the ship comes with. And after a while you get to know which parts make them a T3 👍

I don’t think the storage matters on the type, I believe all normal ship (fighter shuttle hauler explorer) can do 100+60 (100 cargo 60 tech) exotic can do 105+60, solar 110+60, and salvaged 120+60 Unless I missed something this is the limit of storage cap don’t quote me on this though..

Hi, yes, they can be upgraded beyond the initial limits. But if you're short of cash and nanites getting good storage is important. Upgrading can be expensive!

At least we can keep 9 but I agree we need the ability to make a hangar at our base for ship storage or Maybe the ability to build a vehicle storage bay on our freighters, would be cool if we could hire squadron pilots and we're able to outfit ships and then assign the pilot to a ship we've built that would be really cool.

I have a problem with an Strande ship. I have to repair all the parts, but if I repair an non crucial part it just disappears. The same is for the technology and stuff in the ”Luggage“. What can I do?

Ah, that could be you repairing the actual slot, it does that. So you get a working empty cargo or tech slot when you fix it.

So this video is like a year old. Something must have changed, because I'm not seeing a limit on unlockable slots. My Exosuit is currently sitting at 45/80 slots, my Sentinel Ship is at 32/50 with potential for a new row on the cargo side. My multitool has 30 slots unlocked and it looks like I can still start a new row... Why do all the videos I have seen suggest class limits your max slots? It doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Hi, there's an updated video on the channel 😁 The class doesn't limit your number of slots, class limits the max slots a ship can have when you first find it. You can upgrade the slots once you've bought it 👍

I honestly do not understand this game, I was given coordinates to a crashed ship, a hauler better than my starter fighter, needs repairs, some of which I cannot yet build, go off to a station to buy the wiring looms, save and go to work, now I come back to find the hauler I had claimed and sunk a lot of resources into isn’t there anymore! That’s just garbage!

If you've claimed it already it should be in your ship inventory. On a planet open the quick menu, goto summon ship,then across to other ships. Hopefully it's there and you can land it next to you.

@@RiceysStarshipEmporium unfortunately it wasn’t yet flight capable, I needed two wiring looms from a space station. I had unlocked the space beacon so I knew exactly where it would be. Checked my inventory as you suggested and it wasn’t there, I poured pretty much everything I had mined up to that point into fixing random things. I think I’ll just restart, if I get one again I’ll be more careful.

The section of the video about technology upgrades starting from about 6:08. The 3 separate tabs for general, technology and cargo no longer exist. Everything has been moved into a single tab with 2 sections for each of technology and cargo. "General" no longer exists, so the option to equip duplicate technology in 2 separate tabs is gone. To compensate 4 random slots in technology are boosted. I am still trying to understand the changes as I just started playing again after a 6-9 month break. Similar changes also affected exosuit. I think the multi tool also changed. I like your video. It gives a good overview of ships.
