No Man's Sky - This is the second time this happens - stuff changing appearance and reverting.

Don't get me wrong I'd rather the obelisks kept that neat gold and black pattern. I had the same thing happen to the storage container at Raven Rock and they looked gorgeous. I stepped out of the vault to prepare for a proper recording and they had reverted to their original colour scheme.

I have been seeing this occur on ships as well. Lots of Haulers wings appear all black, especially at a distance (due to LOD), and only show any kind of material/color. Yesterday I bought a ship from an NPC in a space station, but it was a completely different ship when I loaded up today.

In regards to what happened to your ship I can only hope it looked better. At the end of the day like a lot of issues in the game it probably has to do with loading, and I fear it will only get worse with time.

If you want to fiddle around with colours, build alloy, then swap to timber. Get some nice red and white stripes going 🙂 Other ways too. Beeblebum is go to for my building techniques
