THX hun, you made my day. Tip for the VR community. Want to earn millions in an hour? Make 4 or 5 reffineries and put oxygen (9999) on top and chloride (9999) in the next slot (doesn't matter where you put them) just repeat the drill every 4.05 minutes, and don't forget to put the chloride made in the right slot back in the left stock en put the rest in your exosuit. Do that in al your reffineries, press start and multiply your chloride times 6. In an hour you will make 20 stacks of 9999 chloride. Big tip... buy oxygen in a spacestation where the price is -5.7% or more(less). It's easier (faster) to buy oxygen then to mine it on planets. You have to pay 2 million on oxygen... to gain 200 million on chloride sellings. A stack of 9999 chloride can be sold in your freighter for (example +4.4% but don't use the galaxy terminal, cause it might ruine the market... sell to captains entering your freighter) over 6 million units. I made 140.000.000 units in an hour. Good luck VR cruisaders.

I've played about 60 hours before VR and played maybe 2-3 hours so far in VR. It's cool but controls are definitely wonkey. I was most disappointed in losing my ability to Sprint then melee + jetpack to get around quickly. I had no idea about the jetpack boost or even that i could change direction based on where i point my hands. This is awesome. I even posted about this on reddit and no one mentioned at all the jetpack boost trick. A lot of good info here, more so then i seen anywhere else.

I’m glad you are enjoying this game!!! I’ve been playing this game since it first came out and put hundreds of hours into it. I was hoping that they would make the game playable in VR and I’ve been in heaven since this update came out. I really like it for the Rift but it seems every update makes the game run worse so I’m playing In PSVR for now until the game becomes more playable for me on PC.
@CasandChary5 жыл бұрын
So PSVR doesnt have any bugs or performance issues? Woa! We are still having a ton of fun with the game on PC though. Chary been playing the Rift S with it throughout. Apart from the bugs its been running well.
@HenryWoods5 жыл бұрын
Cas and Chary VR on PSVR it’s been running great since the update came out last week but the resolution doesn’t compare to the PC. So I’m sacrificing resolution for rock solid performance. But my computer doesn’t compare to yours though. I only have about 8 gigs of ram on my pc so I think that is part of the issue. But the game is SOOO much fun and immersive I don’t care. I’ll wait and I know that the developers will get it working so I’m not complaining about it. Please keep with the game there really is no game like it out there 😁👍🏾👍🏾

Tip: if you die in normal or survival you technically don’t lose all your stuff right away. When you die a grave is spawned containing your inventory. When you die you are respawned at your last save point so you can go back and get all your items. Also note that technology in your inventory isn’t lost, and starship inventory isn’t affected

In the first 3 mins alone, you're saving me tons of grief with figuring things out. I really love this game as a VR experience but I've blown tons of time just trying to figure out how to do the simplest of things. Right now, I'm stuck trying to change my terrain manipulator back to terrain removal from terrain create. I don't even know how I changed it to create to begin with, it was totally an accident. It's making me crazy because I can't advance without digging up some Buried Technology modules. I think looking at the controller bindings (which you just taught me how to do!) will help. Thank you for your video!! :-)

Great video. I hope to be playing in VR in about 10 days. You can always teleport from some place to your base even if you have not built a teleporter yet. Try to scan all of the animals on a planet. The reward for doing so is worth it. The first thing I try to upgrade is my scanner. The better it is, the more money you make scanning stuff. If you see a gravitino ball, do not pick it up unless you're ready to fight swarms of sentinels. If you do make the sentinels agro, hide. Go into your base, a building or your base if it's close by. If not, dig a tunnel with the terrain manipulator. Trying to escape via star ship will most likely be fatal. There are plenty more do's and don'ts but these should help for now. I have loved this game since day one and am looking forward to playing it in VR.

1:36 it also has laser pointers for clicking menus without "physically" clicking. 2:36 no need to extend your arms/hands. You only need to point the controller in the wanted direction. You can also set it to the direction of your headset or your in-game body.

Only 100 hours in here... but a few more tips: 1) There is a backpack refiner, blueprints available at the anomaly.. this has a lot of great benefits, (like creating mats while in space, and not having to redeploy a refinery everywhere you go) 2) More systems = more suit slots. When I started I felt like I needed to grind an area into the dust, by visiting new systems you get more options! 3) Running and shoot/mining is very easy in VR, so if you are running up to a knowledge stone that 100u away why not earn some supplies as you run to it. Space combat is sooo much better in VR!

Thank you for the video, I have a few questions: 1. Why does the cursor shake so much in VR? (see 1:00 & 5:12) 2. Why do the in-game hands shake abnormally? Do they plan on improving the sensors so that its not that sensitive to the point where your in-game hands shake unnaturally like that? The same issue applies to the in-game menus like your crafting and inventory screens. (see 1:50) 3. Is there any technology that goes with VR to allow you to move physically in a room while locked in place? Like a treadmill type design. 4. Is there any VR technology that can be modified for people wearing glasses so that they don't have to wear the VR goggles on top of their glasses? Can sometimes be discomforting to do so.
@whitespace_hours2 жыл бұрын
1. probably a pc bug, thinking that the controllers/headset are controlling the cursor, idk its strange 2. it's very normal actually, a lot of vr games have it for no reason 3. yeah, i forgot what it's called but it lets you sprint and walk perfectly on the spot while moving in game. it's very expensive though, and requires full-body tracking 4. you could just buy the psvr entirely, as im unaware of any technology that does that, or you could buy one of the vive products which is quite literally just vr glasses

I do wish you good luck with getting your data files back. (Smile) I do computer support for a living and I always tell my customers the first rule of computer use is: Backup, backup, backup. Since the first piece of hardware that will fail in any computer is the hard drive you always, ALWAYS need to keep your data files in at LEAST TWO separate locations. Even the data on flash drives, they can fail also. And because they are small they can be lost easier. Anyway...... good luck 😀

0:54 Just turn off Anti Aliasing. With the super sampled resolutions in VR, this is by far the most GPU munching thing ever and it brings very little at a very high cost. 2:17 I guess I'll swap the thumbstick press actions. I just can't get my head around why the sprint is on the other one that's not for the movement direction. 2:37 Oh, didn't know or actually reckon that yet. I just knew there was a way to move forward quicker in pancake called the "shoulder boost" which doesn't work like that at all in VR (while sprinting, melee and then immediately use jetpack). Guess that's the substitute for it :) 3:36 Noted :) 3:55 I guess that's not really a bug, it's just more suited for seated play because of the starship... but I'd welcome a change, but then it should be completely visible within the FOV which it currently is not. In some cases I have to look at holo screens at a quite steep angle (especially the build menu) because I seem to be placed rather close to them and at one point I found something to loot which I couldn't because I literally was hovering above the screen. That thing was on a rather steep slope. 5:10 That somehow doesn't seem to work for me - is that a multiplayer only feature? I switched that off :) 7:39 Completely different menu a few years later... IIRC the Flight sensitivity is the topmost thing and it's at 25, but I haven't seen any difference in turning that down at all. That Flight Controls: Locked Normal thing isn't there either, I just can set inverted or not. And I'd love a little lower sensitivity, but also get rid of the fricken deadzone on the virtual stick completely and let it have a curve like 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100 for every 10% increment of deflection to make it smooth around the center and more sensitive the farther you go.

I'm pretty sure the "bug" where the hud doesn't move with you is just not implemented. It would be cool if they implemented that. Also it would be nice for the quick inventory menu that pops out of the left hand is repositioned more to the right, so I don't have to awkwardly move my left hand over to the right to get the menu in front of me. Also scrolling left and right thru the menu options in the left hand menu for example, when choosing a source to charge things doesn't seem to be implemented or the default bindings on the knuckles don't allow for it.

Very nice video with a good allround set of tips! Just one correction: The bar in the bottom left is not your health, its the energy of your life support system. It depletes over time and a lot faster when sprinting or using your jetpack. The Health bar is at the top left of teh screen and only shown when less than full. The bar there inidcates your shield, the cross symbols your actual health. You will not suffer health damage as long as the shield has some power left. Shield recharges pretty quickly, health VERY slowly. Next comes the advanced tips then?! ;)
