It's not always a case of whether the audience wants it or not, it's the goal of striving to deliver a better experience for the audience who might not even realise it could be better and to challenge yourself in organising more complex productions. However it seems like they've had a lot of teething problems with their wireless mic setup so the main content (the discussion) is suffering due to the balancing act of streaming and recording.

I actually felt that the old format was a little more intimate and enjoyed it more as well. RT Podcast works just fine with them on the couch, as does Game Scoop. I like the "restaurant/booth" format of Always Open, and the "round table" format of some of the IGN podcasts. I feel the old format for Dude Soup just "worked better" for me personally. I would enjoy if they could find a way to create a similar "gathered around the computer" style but with an increased production value. I'm not saying this format is "bad", it just doesn't hit as well with me.
@mikebz75668 жыл бұрын
The set is "fine". There is nothing wrong with the design or anything like that. It is indeed very professional and has great production value. I just enjoyed the format of them gathered around the computer, someone playing a game...like I said, just felt more intimate.

Bruh, the powers are gifts from the "Outsider". The outsider is like a divinity that watches over our world and when he finds a particularly interesting person (Corvo, Daud, etc) he provides them with powers. The Outsider doesn't say you should do good or bad things with it. He says you may use the powers if you want to overcome the problems you face. He doesn't judge, he just watches humans' decisions as he finds them fascinating. He's like a person examining a fish bowl....and making the fish able to punch each other hahaha.

***** Your name is appropriate. Him not know how game development works. Building a game, a AAA game takes time. Delays happen and it is expected. NMS had a team of 12 and a developer that flat out lied about his game. SC has a very open development process with a leader that isn't afraid to make the tough call to delay the game to avoid having a buggy mess like NMS. Hell it has been in development for what 4-5 years. About the average of any other game like GTA or WoW or Battlefield game. Save your trolling for games like Watch Dogs 2.

Star Citizen wins hands down, I mean look at it, it looks way better, more realistic, more things you can do, its basically Halo, Starwars, Mass Effect and Wing Commander all rolled into one. Im saying this and Im not even a pc gamer, I own a PS4, NMS never really interested me, the idea seemed ambiotus but judging from the very early trailers it just looked like there was nothing much to do. Im looking forward to FF7 REMAKE, Starwars Open World Game and Star Citizen, thats it all other games (GOW4 & ME Andromeda) just pale in comparrisson.

lol they did absolutely no shred of research for the amount of trash they were talking in this. Cig has raised 128 million, not a billion or 320 million. Ha. The official announcement for star citizen was made late 2012 and they had 6 people on the team then. Since that time, they've grown to 365 people. Idk why everyone thinks it is so popular to hate on this game. Guess it's fun to be a pessimist, or a hater. But video game production takes time, especially when you're trying to do everything no man's sky promised and more. Anyways, rant over. Next time, do a little research before you flame something you know absolutely nothing about.
@RaptureZJ888 жыл бұрын
5 or 6 years of development which is not that long from what I aware of for a game of its size and scope. I honestly doubt Lawrence has kept up with the game in depth based off his voiced opinions. He may but it seems more like he is basing his opinion off 3rd party information and has a predisposed attitude toward it.
@attackhelicopter74038 жыл бұрын
it sounded like he was at Dereks place over the weekend... and the ED comparison is so old... if you really earn your money in this way, you cant be this stupid and ignorant... its your fucking job, but hey, who needs quality when you can have click bait money and shit comments.
@mdavies971318 жыл бұрын
It's popular to bash on b/c people like to defend games they're currently playing, like Elite or Eve, and b/c they've SEEN the development for so long, seems never ending. Thing is (best way I've heard it said), Star Citizen is being developed "in a glass house" where you see all the early development stages you NEVER see in other titles before their formal announcement within a year or so of release. By the time you see any detail in any other AAA-size game, they've normally been in development for years, with all the initial warts & wrinkles removed that occur in every game developed on such a scale. About the time Squadron 42 (the standalone single player campaign in simultaneous development) releases would be about the time you'd normally see anything regarding the Star Citizen (multiplayer persistent universe side). Until then, though, we'll continue to see it being joked about by those too shallow to see the bigger picture.

@badsamaritan82238 жыл бұрын
Lol, the alternative is it gets funded by a publisher, and content gets cut to rush the game to release, and we end up with another Elite: Dangerous. A mediocre, unfinished game that's trying to tack on all the content they wanted to put in, in the first place, after the fact. You might think fanboys are annoying, but you know what annoys the people funding the game? All the uninformed idiots trying to force the game to release before it's done, because they think they know how long game development should take, while they play shitty, half-baked sequels and overhyped piles of shit.
@marcsman078 жыл бұрын
Bad Samaritan I'm backing because I love the tech they're showing for the game and they seem like one of the few developers actually pushing for good innovation. I think that most of the backers paid into the game knowing that it'll take a LONG time, but they just want to see a good finished product done well.

You know the feeling you get when something you are so used to just changes over night? I have that same feeling about Bruce's hair

You ever notice how with the old setup they almost never had audio issues. But with this set it's basically the audio issue black hole.

Got ten minutes into this without looking at the screen. (Writing a paper and it's a podcast so visuals didn't seem necessary lol) Then when I finally looked up I was like, "What the hell? I could have swore I heard Bruce. But I don't see him...HOLY BALLS."

Omar the part you're talking about is where you have this mirror that lets you see between future and present I think? If you looked through the mirror you could see guards in the present and move behind them, warp into the present, and do whatever. If I recall correctly you also have to warp between specific times for puzzles.

In some cultures people shave their head when their father or grand father passes away. We're sorry for your loss Bruice. Hope you're holding up well.

comparing No Mans Sky to Star Citizen is like comparing a broken down station wagon to a Ford GT Concept car.

I like what Bruce did to his hair. It makes him look more approachable. I'm normally an advocate for long hair, but Bruce actually looks better the other way around.

its obviously annoying for Funhaus having to deal with these technical difficulties during their streams and recordings, but i find it very informative to hear and sort of see glimpses of how and what they use to stream and record. . would be cool to see a video on how they do it and what their setups are.
