Exactly same experience I just had. I laid down my panigale 959 last week breaking off the left mirror, and while I'm waiting for CRG arrow mirrors from revzilla, I just took a ride this morning with both mirrors off, and it was a completely different world not being able to see behind me, and as you said people freak out when you do your headcheck with gopro camera, haha. love your video bro, keep up the good work, you are one of my favorite motovloggers:)
