That's called Taxation without Representation, and that's not fair. But when the colonies complained, The king said "I don't care!" He even has the nerve to tax our cup o' tea. To put it kindly, king, we really don't agree. Gonna show you how we felt, we're gonna dump this tea. And turn this harbor into the biggest cup o' tea in history! They wanted no more mother England. They knew the time had come to take over the land. It's very clear you're bein' unfair king, And whatever you say we won't obey. We're gonna hold a revolution now, king, And we're gonna run it all our way! With no more king, (We're gonna elect a President) No more king, (he's gonna do what the people want!) People forget that George III was not a villain. He was an incredibly flawed human being. The pressure of ruling did a number on him. It was Parliament who passed most of the tax laws that led to the Revolution. We made him the bad guy because we needed someone to project our anger at and rally against.
