I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. We are grilling hamburgers tonight and doing tater tot’s in the air fryer. Have to be at the hospital at 5 am tomorrow. My husband is getting his port put in and beginning chemo Friday. His colon cancer from 2016 has returned and spread to his lungs. I believe about 10% of cancer in the lung is caused from colon cancer. He previously had a portion of his colon removed and didn’t require chemo or radiation. Your videos have helped prepare us for some of the unknowns to come. So uplifting to watch you enjoying your beautiful life🥰

I had colon cancer and the same part of my colon removed. And like him no chemo nor radiation. It will be 5 years soon. I was told after 5 years you are pretty safe. I guess nothing is a given. I hope your husband does well. Thoughts and prayers for you both.

I know what you mean about knowing where a bathroom is at all times! I’ve got UC, and most days don’t feel great. I’ll probably get an illiostomy perhaps later this year. I had one temporarily before so I know what it’s about. It’s big adjustment, but I need a better quality of life, to feel well, and get on with it! You’re very inspirational!

Sorry I’ve not been on in a while. Sadly I was diagnosed with a tumor on my left adrenal gland and it’s stage 4 cancer. Started chemo and it’s been kicking my butt. With my ileostomy I know where every bathroom wherever I go is!!! I don’t want surgery but it looks like I’ll be having surgery next week to remove this tumor! It is a very large surgery and I’ll be out of commission for a while again. Stay strong enjoy your holiday and go swimming get some closed end bags and don’t eat for 2 hours before you go swimming. Enjoy it I was afraid myself but those bags saved me.

Glad you are able to take more walks! Have you tried non toxic nail polish and nail polish remover? For anyone interested in safer options, as the cancer rate among nail salon technicians is quite high, there are many nice non toxic nail paints available. The nail itself, and the skin, absorbs the toxins from the polish, in addition to the lungs breathing in the toxic fumes during exposure to the polish and the polish remover.

nail sticker are less toxic. there are 3 kinds uv gel semi cured nail strips - led uv light needed(20-30 second cure) fully cured gel nail strips - no uv light needed nail lacquer nail strips - no uv light needed kbeautyhobbit gives great tutorials on how to properly apply and how to make them last 2-3 weeks! supposedly they use medical grade adhesive on the strip. I also want to try a "supposedly safe" paint on nail polish - 4 step system - dazzle dry What are some of the safer options that you've used or heard about?

@@DaisyMae-f5h oh wonderful! i will definitely check those out! i haven't tried dazzle dry yet because i really love the gel nail strips, but i have been reading and watching youtube vids about the brand. It is supposedly one of the very few paint on brands that will never cause nail yellowing. 🤗 It is a "4 step system" and has to be used together for it to work properly and stay on 2weeks+. (The gel strips do not cause nail yellowing either but i'm guessing that's because there is a layer of adhesive protecting the nail) An important thing about gel nail strips is don't ever "pry" them off. work them off very slowly and gently with a cuticle oil, regular oil or a "special remover" that each brand usually sells. There are people that use acetone but i can't stand the smell and i try my best to stay away from as many harsh chems as possible.

I don't know if you have a vegetable garden, but I form little balls from the juicing pulp and bury it them in mine. They become little feeding stations for earthworms without making the entire area inhospitable for them to live in. They just pop over to eat and go back to the ph balanced soil when they're done. They can finish it off surprisingly fast. We also feed some of it to the chickens, but, obviously, you don't have that option. I believe some people make crackers from it as well. It's a shame you don't have a composting program where you live.

I tried air frying fish for the first time tonight. I had a grouper fillet (the cheaper fish from the frozen fish area of my store) and I seasoned it with salt, garlic, olive oil and lemon juice and air fried it for 20 min on 350 F (don't know what that is Celsius). Turned out quite well.

Prayers to you Lua, I’m a survivor of stage 4 non Hodgkins Lymphoma, I’ve had a year a chemo relapsed, Bone marrow transplant and year later relapsed, had to find another new donor for 2nd Bone marrow transplant. After 2nd transplant my body rejected my donor and caused graft vs host disease which is rejection disease and my body attacked my organs, my skin and then caused scleroderma where my body turned hard like stone. Was bedridden unable to move for 5 yrs. My body finally has stopped attacking me as bad and I’ve gotten some slight movement back. I’ve been through a lot to show if you stay strong & positive you can fight through anything. I will pray for you🙏🏻❤️

remember while juicing in a horizontal slow juicer...alternate the produce and fruits. use pieces of the firm veggies and fruits to help push through the softer ones 🤗 I would use the horizontal slow juicer for ALL juicing. They are much better! yes, they are slow compared to the super fast centrifugal juicers, but the slow juicers will always yield much more juice!

There is a therapeutic cushion called a ROHO that is used for patients who sit in a wheelchair most of the day. You can inflate it to your comfort level. They can be expensive but there are some "knock offs" that are just as good. The problem with an actual pillow is they have tendency to flatten and get hard rather quickly.

I use, a gel filled cushion in my wheelchair as although it feels heavy and firm when you sit on it it moves with your bum so for me reduces pressure area redness and pain

I was thinking about your question, Tiffany, about what to do with the peelings and such that the new juicer left. These make great compost items. I don't know whether you've considering a compost bin but if managed correctly (I wasn't any good at it), you can get good material to add value to the soil in your garden. However, if you don't want to go to the mess of your own bin, most UK councils offer a recycling service. They will provide what they call a 'kitchen bin' (or similar title) that you can sit on the countertop - you can buy compostable bin bags that you can use one inside the countertop bin to put your cooked food items and peelings - then before collection day, you transfer what is iin the countertop bin to a larger handle-attached bin which councils also provide for pickup. This larger bin gets set out on the pavement for collection and because what is inside the bin is attractive to all wildlife, the lid to that bin clamps closed to keep out any being other than a council collection person to get in to grab that little compostable bin bag. I just made a great stew from minsed meat, bacon, onions, mushrooms, mashed tomatos (mutti), and cream. Spices also of course! I also add just a teaspoon of sugar to balance the flavours with salt and pepper well. We love to eat it with pasta of course! ❤ (Sorry about bad spelling. From Sweden 😅)

Hey Tiffany, I have no experience with the Stoma bags, I am not sure if it’s because I looked up what a Stoma bag is and where in the body it is,… I got a video recommendation from this person LetsTalkIBD and she gives some really good suggestions about the bag and how to handle it. Watching your videos you did say everyone handles it differently, thought maybe she would have suggestions how to deal with certain things when you are on your holidays. She seems like she knows what she is talking about as she is a nurse

Lasagne soup Ingredients: 1 onion 3 garlic gloves 1/2 lb ground beef 1/2 Ib Italian sausage seasonings of your choice 2 tbsp tomato paste 2 cups marinara sauce 3 cups chicken broth 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 box of lasagna noodles 1/2 cup parmesan 1 cup mozzarella 1/4 cup basil Directions: 1. Sauté 1 chopped onion, then add minced garlic, ground beef, Italian sausage, plus seasoning (i used salt, pepper, chili flakes, dried oregano and Italian blend.) 2. Once meat is almost cooked, add in tomato paste, marinara sauce, chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to boil. 3. Now add in your broken lasagna noodles or any pasta of your choice. Cook until al dente. 4. Add cheeses and basil. Bowl up and top with more cheese!

It’s not easy to come off the narcotics. I hope you are easy on yourself and realise the body doesn’t distinguish between people, it becomes dependent and has a reaction to removing a substance it becomes used to regardless of the reason it was taken or stopped. Maybe get a small compost container for your patio area for the leftover juice pulp. It can be used as fertilizer after a while, just be careful of the acidity if you do add it to any soil.

Hi Tiffany, I love watching you and your mum together. It reminds me so much of the life I had with my mum. We were so close and she would fly out to Florida and spend a few months with me. She was the best mum, just like your mum is with you. I was interested to see how you felt about your juicer. We had a Sampson juicer and really enjoyed using it. It made the best juices. We also had a Norwalk juicer which was recommended for those fighting cancer on the Gerson therapy, which is mainly juicing. We just have it to someone who is struggling with her health. Hi Tiffany. I love those glasses with the straws. I bought a set of six about 2 years ago. Theyre perfect for sitting in the garden. I had a healthy dinner of Ben and Jerrys choclate fudge brownie ice cream. Yummy! Now Im taking a walk with my dog to burn some calories.
